The decision to go to Slimmeria was very much last minute.. booked on the week-end arriving Tuesday afternoon .My intention was to relax and chill with my teenage daughter. What struck me immediately upon my arrival was the stunning location; breath taking country views with undulating fields, a pretty vineyard and a warm welcome and weigh in. This gorgeous property...

The Slimmeria is not for the faint hearted it is an excellent detox retreat, for those that are new to exercise or have not exercised much over last 12-6 months, the exercise is definitely manageable provided you are happy to walk. March 2012 I decided it was time to address my weight issues and what better way than to start...

Trudging for 2-3 hours through mud up to our ankles (or, better, by the sea); working up a sweat in a challenging aerobics workshop straight afterwards; and following that with a muscle-clenching yoga session, all on a fruit juice breakfast. What's not to like? Then a salad lunch and aaah, there are spa treatments in the afternoon to soothe away...

If you are expecting to sit back, put your feet up and relax then you are in for a shock. However if you want to loose weight and question your habitations habits then this is the place to come. It is tough but totally manageable (unless you hate veg!) Lots of walking, exercise and easy yoga followed by spa treatments to...

Wow, what a week! Great group of people and staff were discreet and hardly conspicious which contributed to a week focused on detoxing, fitness and losing weight. Lost 11lbs and my wife lost 8lbs and not just that, we both came away fully refreshed mentally and physically. Best parts were the massages, the yoga sessions and the long brisk walks...

Another wonderfully relaxing week at Hye House - working (exercising) hard, eating very healthily but destressing wonderfully. As this was my second visit I was aware what results could be achieved with weight loss, and although I lost 8lb, it was the destressing and catching up on sleep that helped me feel so much better than when I arrived. Thanks...

I have just returned from a week at the Slimmeria retreat. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Having been a bootcamp queen over the past few years I decided to try something a bit more luxurious and relaxing. I'm in my final year at University so I packed up lots of reading material and work to do in the...

If you are determined to lose weight for a big event, or knock yourself out of a plateau in your own weight loss journey Slimmeria at Hye House is worth considering. The regime is very strict and learning the mantra "It's amazing how much you can do on so little" was perhaps the biggest lesson for me. I lost 12lbs...

Re: Review headed “Focus on Weight Loss, adjust all other expectations….” We would really like to thank our guest for her feedback and we absolutely agree with her that we are definitely a weight loss retreat. It’s brilliant that our guest lost 12 pounds in 6 days which is possible with a strict routine. We are happy that we satisfied...

This is a tough regime, but you will obtain results if you stick to the programme. Not a week for the faint-hearted and take note of the guidance given in advance on how to prepare for your visit - withdrawal of caffeine, junk food etc. This will help you!! Hye House is an a beautiful location but check carefully which...

First of all I will say that after 3 days and 3 nights at Hye House I feel fantastic, better than I have felt for a long time both mentally and physically! However, being completely candid I will also say that on arrival I did not expect this to be the outcome of my trip. Arriving at Hye House I...

In response to “Strict Regime…” We would like to thank our guest for her feedback and her very positive comments. We are pleased that she was looking for “disciplined fitness and a strict eating routine” and that she found it at our retreat. We enjoyed her company very much and value her feedback. This particular booking was offered as a...
