Hotel is ok for a one night visit but wouldn't stay longer than a night, as on leaving my room found what looked like rat poison at various different locations, which was very off putting, and if I brought my grandchildren would not be happy

Hi. There weren't any obvious signs of refurbishment when we visited last weekend, but as this was our first visit I don't know how it was before then. We found our visit to be pleasant enough for a short stay (apart from the breakfast), and personally I think some of the negative responses here are a little OTT. Just my opinion based on personal experience. HTH.
