A Traditional Pub with Waves of History The Two Lifeboats was originally a coffee shop and Fisherman's Mission circa 1720. The public house is named after the Augusta & Duncan lifeboats that rescued a crew of eight from the wreck of the Norwegian brig Caroline on December 6th 1882. Steeped in history and fully refurbished to a very high standard we opened to the public in June 2012. View our food menus at the Two Lifeboats... Offering not only high standards of surroundings, we pride ourselves on providing a quality affordable family offer. Bed & Breakfast The complete refurbishment of our six boutique bedrooms means we can now offer a wonderful overnight experience. Check out our bedrooms page for more details.

We have visited The Two Lifeboats often to eat, as the food is lovely, we decided to extend our usual day trip with an overnight stay, we had a lovely comfortable, clean room overlooking the sea and a fabulous full english breakfast!

Great views overlooking North Sea Coast with its wind-farm in the distance. Warm and comfortable room with a Tassimo Coffee Machine along with various other teas and coffees. A very good breakfast was served in the mornings.

Can we bring our dog into the Bar area while we have an evening meal?
You may bring your dog into the bar area although The Two Lifeboats request you keep your dog on the hard floor areas and not the carpet.

Hi is there parking facilities. Have you rooms with sea views. Regards John
Thanks for your question John: There is pay and display car parking 20 metres away or on street parking behind the High Street. We have wonderful sea view rooms but as you can imagine with our super location they get booked very quickly. You may check room bookings by call direct 01263 823144 or from our website. Best wishes Two Lifeboats
