My husband an I had a lovely meal here it's what I would describe as good pub food and the portions were large. We had starters and so found we could manage to eat all our main course. The staff were lovely and my husband said they serve a good pint.

Went here for a night time meal. Traditional village pub and were made to feel welcome. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I had whitebait for starters and hubby had cod goujons. I had the fish bake/pie and hubby had the steak and ale pie. Could not manage a dessert as we were too full. It...

Visited for meal with family and although strangers to the area we were made to feel part of the community. Food was excellent, great menu choice and good value. Good selection of real ales. Book early to avoid disappointment especially on a Sunday

We booked an evening meal at short notice and were lucky to get a table as the pub is very popular. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and attentive. There was a very nice 'family' atmosphere in the pub. There is a very varied menu and the food is all home cooked and was amazing. The home-made pie was...

Staff made sure table was near the open fire and easily accessible; the welcome was warm and friendly and at no time did we feel rushed. The menu was varied with delicious Sunday roasts included - service was excellent and the food beautifully cooked. The whole...

Discovered the Featherston Arms last year whilst driving around the Eden Valley. Kirkoswald is so pretty and quaint we decided to return. The food is the best pub food I have ever eaten. The pies are incredible and the pub itself is cosy.

First visit to the Fetherston and will certainly go back. The meal was top notch - couldn't fault anything. Started with the Whitebait followed by what can only be described as a whale on a plate with noodles! (Sea Bream). Everything cooked to perfection. Friendly staff :-)
