We have driven past so many times to and from work and decided in our holiday break to try it out. We ate at 5 ish. It was very quiet and we were the only diners at one point but they still treated us professionally. Excellent service to the table too. This was the BEST ever steak and kidney pudding...

A short distance from the M6 North services at Burton we ate here, two adults and two children. For a Monday the place was busy but we were attended to quickly and food came promptly with a smile. Food was of a great quality with loads of choice from a specials board too. Seafood Paella was heavenly.

We stopped in the barn yesterday and were very impressed by the modern rooms, the parking in the private carpark and the pub was welcoming and so were the owners. Donna had me checked in in under five minutes and we appreciated the before stay phone call. Breakfast was lovely and DH managed to explain about his gluten free needs...

We stayed here for one night only, and thought it was brilliant. The welcome we received on arrival is what every hotel should offer as we were made to feel instantly at home. We had a very nice room in the annex, which had the usual tea and coffee facilities and a good TV, although if you are a little...

Staff were chatty and hospitable offering tips for our weekend visit as we had never been in the area. Our food was lovely and we both cleared our plates. Thumbs up for...

We visited the pub today having seen a banner proclaiming that the Kings Arms was Pub of the Year 2016. Well.... The welcome was warm, the service attentive and the food to DIE for. We had pate and fish with chips and mushy peas. The chips were golden, fluffy and full of flavour.... The fish was huge with light tasty...

We stayed at the Kings Arms overnight and paid £70 for a lovely room and an excellent breakfast. The barn conversion which houses several rooms has been very tastefully done and is easily up to London hotel standards. We were struck by the friendly, traditional pub atmosphere when we arrived and had no hesitation in booking our evening meal. The...

Visited for two nights on a living social voucher. Lovely old pub in a great area for visiting the Lake District and Morecambe Bay. We were made most welcome, the accommodation in the barn was fabulous - all new and modern. Great big bed and beautiful bathroom. The breakfasts were lovely and we ate at the hotel both nights. Again...

Staying at the nearby Travelodge this is the nearest place to eat. A friendly welcome from the landlord and very friendly staff and consequently the pub has a warm and welcoming feeling. The food is good and reasonably priced and a good selection of real ale in excellent condition. Will go again next time I am in area.

Old building with loads of character. The girl behind the bar who was also the waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The meal was really really good at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back again.
