Warm welcome. Room spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and delicious breakfast with an amazing view. Unfortunately the heating did not work in room and despite advising the hosts before we went out for the evening this was not fixed so we came back late to a very cold room. Did notice on arrival that the blinds where warped. And in the morning they were dripping with condensation so heating may have been an issue for awhile?
Absolutely stunning views from this very comfortable B&B, we felt so at home and it was a wonderfully quiet spot for us and our toddler son. We were provided with a nice spacious room, extremely clean and baby sorted too! The breakfast was perfect and the cookies after were a delightful treat for all 3 of us. I still can't get over the views from the breakfast table! We played ball out on the lawn over looking the peninsula and OH MY it was a view you could retake in with awe each time you looked at it. The service was above and beyond considering covid is still lurking and ruining interactions. The wonderful hosts took care of my awkward medications as they had to be stored in their fridge so I was back and forth to them for it daily. My 16 month old son was delighted when leaving as he was surprised with more treats and smiles from the wonderful hosts. Would have loved to have spent more time there but we will be back and hopefully covid restrictions will have eased some more by then.... won't stop us either way from another visit. Highly recommend this B&B 👌…
This was a reasonably priced b&b with comfy beds and a fabulous view but they have let themselves down with the small things. The cold tap in the bathroom was almost impossible to turn off and the hot became scalding hot in about two seconds. There were no side plates at breakfast so nothing to use for buttering your toast while you waited for your breakfast that had to be pre ordered the day before. The scrambled eggs were tasty but looked more like a broken up omelette, the salmon was cooked salmon instead of smoked ( my fault for assuming but I never thought you'd be served cooked salmon with scrambled eggs) and the full Irish was more of a half Irish. There were no cereals, no fruit, no yoghurts so it felt a little bit of a cheap way to serve breakfast even in these covid times. Tiny paper napkins too which looked terrible. This could be a fabulous place but more effort needs to go into looking after the guests.…
lovely views caring hosts VERY GOOD FOOD the place was very clean - covid restrictions masks sadly spoil things a touch -it would be nice to come back when covid has gone the owners are helpful - i loved the food bar the bacon was as thin as parma ham and i asked for more and none was given - im a big guy love my bacon GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR PEOPLE IS WHAT ITS ABOUT we only just persuaded him to let us stay to 10.30. as my granddaughter was sleeping again you need be more flexable and service with a smile - i still think the place was VERY GOOD and very good value for money its there first year i hear so good luck to them
We stayed here for one night. It's a very stylish B&B run by very friendly hosts. In the evening our host booked us a table in a nearby pub. Next day she prepared not only a generous breakfast, but also provided us with a great lunch package for noon. Highly recommended!
An older style B&B, with vintage prints and older furniture. There is an amazing view from the sitting room, which is comfortable and bright. It is, however, located 1.5 km from the village which is a scary walk along the highway. Crisp white sheets on a comfortable bed. A small bathroom, with the hand basin hidden behind the door. The towels were small and thin, and only small amounts of a combined shampoo/soap was provided for the shower. The breakfast was only OK. It costs extra to have real orange juice or fruit salad and the Irish breakfast only comes with one egg. Only white toast was offered, although soda bread is also available.
We stayed at Derrynane Bay House for two nights and it was the best accomodation on our whole journey. The hosts were really friendly and gave us good tipps for things to do. The breakfast was very tasty (scrambled egg with salmon was great!) and we could enjoy the view over the bay with wonderful music. We would have really liked to stay longer. Greetings, Anette, Anja, Frank and the travel sheep ;)
We had a lovely stay in Derrynane Bay House, the room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Beautiful views of the bay and a delicious home made breakfast, we would definitely stay here again!
We stayed in this B&B for 1 night during a week-long vacation to Ireland. The B&B is comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. The traditional Irish breakfast was AMAZING! We had the bedroom on the top floor of the house. One small thing to note is this bedroom's bathroom is outside of the room and across the hall, so not technically en suite (although still very private... no other guests on that floor).
This is a very classic B&B - beautiful furniture, great bedding, just delightful. Monica and her husband were very welcoming and helped us dry our wet hiking boots and other clothes. The room was beautiful - one of the best we slept on during our 16 days in Ireland. Breakfast was also very good and the views from the dining room were incredible. Go to the Blind Piper in town for dinner or drinks - it's an easy walk. Enjoy!
