We stayed here for two nights in June 2022. We had a great experience and enjoyed out time here. We stayed in room two ( a family room) which was very spacious and looked out over Kenmare Bay. Breakfast was lovely. The host was very welcoming. There was good wifi and plenty of space to park. We spent a couple of days on the Kerry Way and this was a great stop for us.

We stayed at the Old Forge on our hike along the Kerry Way. It was 1.5km walk to food but there was a shop close by, if you walked along the road. The host was friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and clean. Nice view out the bedroom window.

Thank you Alice for your review. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us. The local eating options are The Blind Piper (1km), The Derrynane Hotel which serves bar food as well as a dinner menu (400 m), Carrolls Cove (.7 km). A new cafe is due to open 100m from us very shortly. I hope this will be of assistance if you visit us again.

My wife and I stayed here during our Kerry Way hike. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with amazing views. Very friendly place - we felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The family dog also helped the place seem very homely. Sitting by the window in the lounge was very relaxing in the evening. Breakfast was fantastic! It was a few minutes walk along the road into town for dinner. This was our favourite B&B that we stayed at in Ireland. Would definitely recommend it.

Five friends and I stayed at the Old Forge while walking the Kerry Way. We arrived tired and a bit soggy and Kathy was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean, quiet and some of us were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the sea. In two weeks of walking, Kathy served up the best breaky we had in all our B&B stays.

A lovely place. Cathy is taking great care of this location at the remote Caherdaniel. The living room has view on the Atlantic Ocean and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious! The warm welcome by Cathy makes this a wonderful location to stay and enjoy this small village in Kerry. The Blind Piper - the local pub is a few minutes walk away from there.

We spent a night at the Old Forge as we walked some of the Kerry Way. The setting is perfect with the most beautiful views of the bay. It's a warm, welcoming B&B where you feel at home straight away. The breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The host Cathy is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble - highly recommend this lovely B&B on your travels.

The B&B is set in a lovely location with great views, though not all rooms have sea view. Because it is out of town it is quiet, however, it makes going into town for meals more difficult. It is 1.3km from the nearest pub on a very busy road with no shoulder, so unsafe for walkers. Fine if you have a car. Breakfast was fine. The rooms were reasonable; soft mattresses. If you are walking, there is a small shop at the campground up the road to get food supplies (400m away) – no shops in town.

Our room was large, well appointed with a good en suite. Tea and coffee was available at all times in the breakfast room. Breakfast was a ‘full Irish’! A great way to have a break going round the Ring of Kerry.

Pros: lovely proprietor called Cathy who is ever helpful. Beautiful setting overlooking Atlantic Ocean. Private parking. Free Wi-Fi and TV. Comfortable albeit small room with comfortable bed and ensuite modern bathroom.Coffee and tea making facilities. Small muffins and biscuits also available. Breakfast meal is superb with a selection of cereals toast fruit rhubarb compote and selection of main courses – could not be better. Nice dining area with small lounge area. Fridge available. Outdoor seating. Garden. Cons: upstairs rooms. Rooms somewhat small but quaint and cosy. We spend one night here and it was excellent and I would highly recommend this place to stay.
