Visited the spa today with my husband for a massage. We were able to be in the same room together and Anna and Georgia were very professional and we left feeling relaxed and revitalised. Massage room was spotless as was the whole complex. Definitely recommend treating yourself during your stay.

We staying in a two bed apartment which had a ground floor terrace and a huge second bedroom upstairs with an upper terrace. The apartments were traditionally furnish and very comfortable. The apartment would have benefitted from having a shower cubicle in one of the bathrooms, rather than showers in the bath with shower curtains.

We ate in the pool bar and the staff were always very friendly and efficient. The entertainment was some of the best we’ve experienced, particularly the tenors night. The buffet was top class as was the a la carte restaurant. Cocktails were reasonably priced and the on site shop well stocked and very friendly.

The grounds were impeccable and in September a rainbow of colours and smells from the herbs and plants throughout the complex. I’ve never seen so many olive trees!

The pool areas were kept very clean and we preferred the quiet pool which never got very busy and always had beds available.

Housekeeping was great with someone coming in every day. Reception staff can’t do enough for you.

We will definitely return again and Village Heights will become one of our favourite Diamond resorts.

I’m writing this review at the end of our 2 weeks stay here at the Village heights resort. The entire resort is spotless, so clean and tidy and very well kept. The two large outdoor pools are cleaned every night and the surrounding sun loungers are plentiful and clean. The spa facilities are good, and my wife used the spa on a couple of occasions and found that experience very relaxing. If you rent a car there is lots of free secure parking spots with a guard on the gate 24 hours a day. The Wi-Fi coverage around the entire resort is very good no matter where you are and the best thing is it’s free.

The first thing to say is the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Notably are Olga our room maid who made sure our apartment was spotlessly cleaned every day, our bedding was changed and really made our stay just that little bit extra. Maria at the snack bar tought me some Greek while serving us with a smile almost every day. And finally, Adriana who oversaw the entertainments (she’d know us as the Lawyers) she was always happy and very informative on what was going on around the resort every day.

If you come to stay here, there are some things you need to know. The resort is fairly remote from the small towns and beaches. There is a shuttle bus that will take you to Stallis beach and collect you too but to explore the rest of the island you WILL need a car. (I have written a review the car rental company I used).

If you’re looking at staying here due to golf, then be aware. The golf course is around 5-10 minutes drive from the resort and only gives 10% discount on the green fees, if you’re renting clubs then the round of golf for 2 people can be around €265 for 2 people per round.

Overall, this is a very pleasant resort, relaxing, quiet and clean. If we do come back to Crete I would consider staying again.

My family and I spent a week at Village Heights Resort in June in a 1 BR unit, #811. Our unit was plenty big enough for 3 adults. The kitchen is very tiny with very little counter space which made cooking challenging, but doable.

The bedroom was large and comfortable with plenty of storage.

The "bed" in the living area is a hard, wood "daybed" which was not comfortable for our 21 yr old son. It sleeps 1 person so I'm not sure how you would have 4 adults in that room.

There is a tiny balcony off the living area with a small bistro table and chairs and a great view of the ocean. There is no laundry in the unit, but there are facilities on the premises costing $10 euros per load.

We dined at the on-site restaurant several times. The breakfast & dinner buffet offers a variety of food and had plenty for my vegan family to eat. In fact the chef came out to explain all the dishes to us and brought us a few things from the kitchen that were not on the buffet. The maitre, George, and the wait staff are all pleasant and very helpful.

Village Heights is not walkable to any dining or attractions so a car is necessary to see the island.

This was our second visit here (using our Diamond Resorts Points). Our Villa was a 2 bedroom with an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, bathroom and large twin bedroom on the ground floor and a huge king size bedroom and bathroom on the first floor with a beautiful patio area from the bedroom upstairs and another one on the ground floor. Everything was spotless and the rooms were services every day. The pools are beautiful with plenty of sunbeds. The restaurants are great. The choices in the main buffet are excellent with different themes each night and the two a la carte ones are also extremely good. There is a free shuttle bus into town frequently throughout the day and some of the runs go to the gorgeous Beach Comber for an additional 20 euros which includes sunbeds and parasol and is attached to a lovely bar which serves great food and drink.
One important tip - a tax from Heraklion airport costs 45 euros. We caught a public bus from the airport to Hersinisos at a cost of 3 euros 20 cents. You can then either link up with the resort's shuttle bus which is free or get a taxi for about 15 euros. We did the bus/taxi option on the way but buses on the way back. The buses to and from Hersinisos are every 15 minutes.
Village Heights is quite isolated so you may feel you need a car but there are lots of excursions that pick you up from the resort or you can use the shuttle and local buses to create your own.
The temperature ranged from 22-28 degrees and we only had a couple of evening showers.
Appartments near the bottom pool are quieter but further from the main building, but there is a buggy that will pick you up and drop you off any time you want.
A lot of the guests there were on their second or third visit which is a good sign. We are already planning out third!

Stayed here for 10 days with British Airways Holidays.

This has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and really clean.

Stayed in room 1711 which was a great position to access the main restaurant but also to choose between swimming pools.

The food in the main restaurant was excellent and varied everyday. George the restaurant manager always made time to speak to each guest each day. Also a great thanks to Maria, Marianna and Panagiotis and the other restaurant staff for making our stay enjoyable. We also visited Rodies restaurant at the other pool which is also excellent.

Entertainment in the restaurant each night was really good, particularly enjoyed the Crete Night with dancing and the South African Tenors.

Housekeeping staff work really hard to keep the rooms clean daily and provide fresh towels, special thanks to Maria who looked after us.

Reception staff are really friendly and helped with arranging taxis and booking trips including our visit to the beachcomber in Stallis, which was an excellent arrangement the hotel has for access to the beach.

Would certainly recommend.

Beautiful hotel for those looking for peace and a good night's sleep on this picturesque and very lively island. The villas are surrounded by flowers and olive trees. All cars are parked at the main hotel building and it is very convenient because the area is safe for pedestrians.

In the apartment, everything is provided and well thought out. So there are not only spare blankets and lots of towels, but also little things like a lamp on the terrace to light up the food on the table. Even the cats who live on the property have their own home with food!

We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. It has everything: granola, eggs, beans, yogurt and fruits, you name it.

The staff was very friendly and attentive.  We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We stayed at Village Heights for a week and had a lovely stay for the most part. The staff were excellent and were very helpful throughout our stay. The check-in process was first class and we were provided with loads of pointers on what to do during our visit.

The hotel is quite isolated and I would absolutely recommend a hire car if you are wanting to explore Crete from here, however the hotel offers a variety of activities on site. A Tennis court, volleyball court, spa, gym, games room, multiple pools and lots more. There is also a shuttle bus into hersonnisos running throughout the day.

The rooms are fairly simple but were large, immaculate and well appointed. The balcony was enormous, more like a roof terrace and my only request would be that some sunbeds were put out alongside the table and chairs to make best use of the sunshine up there.

It was poor luck that we happened to be there whilst construction was ongoing on some of the villas neighbouring our room. The noise from the building works made sitting out on the balcony during the day unpleasant. We asked to move and the hotel staff were very obliging and quickly found us a room at the other side of the resort.

The main restaurant puts on a lovely buffet, the food is delicious and price very reasonable. The evening entertainment that we saw was great. The traditional dancing and music during 'Cretan night' was particularly good. A special mention also to the 2 resident cats who were very friendly the couple of times we happened upon them.

Overall our experience was great, just tainted slightly by the building works next to our room.

We had a roomy and comfortable two bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and two huge terraces. Beds are extremely comfortable, airconditionong works and housekeeping does a great job keeping the rooms tiptop!

The animation team led by Adriana is engaging and professional and keep guests of all ages entertained and happy. Be sure to check out the regular volleyball slot, water aerobics and yoga! We also took advantage of the tennis court and mini golf course!

The restaurant team is the most accommodating and friendly team in the food service business! The restaurant and tables are keep spotless throughout the meal and the day! And the chef works diligently to offer a variety of local and international dishes to a different theme each night. We loved the Cretan evening and the urban evening with the R&B act!

Finally, a big thanks goes out to the Aegeo Spa team for the lovely and effective hydrating facial from Despina, and the magical hands of our massage therapists Anna and Elsa. An extra thanks goes out to Anna for the time she took after the massage to explain what she did and why and recommendations for future massages at home. This spa was impressively well organized with a competent and professional team led by the most lovely spa manager! Thanks to this team for rounding out our amazingly active trip (thanks to the offerings of the hotel in terms of bus transfers into town, to the phenomenal Beachcombers Beach Club and the animation team) with relaxation!

Located in the mountain part of Heraklion. Beautiful view of the mountain and ocean. The rooms were a bit outdated. There isn't much lights in the rooms (kitchen, bedroom, living/dining room) @ night - it's dim, but during the day the sunlight that comes through the sliding doors is abundance enough. The pool closes @ 6p. There is an abundance of activities for the kids.
The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of fresh food and vegetables, but a little costly for what were accustomed to in Greece prices.
The parking and to get to the rooms is a bit of a walk, but it's a safe walk. Being high up in the mountains, there is a nice breeze that comes in in the evening - so AC isn't needed much in the evening.
The beaches are 15 mins drive. You really need to rent a car when you are at this resort. Lidl is 7 mins away by car. The main town is less than 20 minute drive - nice scenic drive into town. About 2.5 hours away from Chania.

Had a 10 day family stay. Large apartments with good facilities and a great restaurant with a good quality buffet. You need a car to travel round Crete though the hotel provides a free shuttle to the beach town (10 mins). Pools are large but not heated and we’re generally quiet with plenty of grassy sunbathing space. Food was a highlight.
