"Beautiful view, tasty food and nice garden with cool weather" sums up Shire Kalimpong Home stay. The room balconies have a beautiful view of snow clad mountains. They are to be experienced rather than captured on cameras. The hosts maintain a beautiful garden full of various flowering plants including orchids that refresh the mind and soul. Food has limited options as expected for a home stay. However it is tasty and fresh. The ambience is good, rooms have amenities like geyser and clean linen. Sleep quality was good. Our taxi from Bagdogra airport was arranged by the host on request. Thanks for making our experience memorable.
A delightful property, very comfortable, good, clean up to date facilities. A choice of excellent meals and breakfasts are available. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Always enjoy staying here. With views from the sunny balcony on a clear day, you can see Katchinchenga in the Himalayas. The gardens are just lovely with lots of pot plants, trees and flowers. The reception area is large and comfortable with pleasant and efficient staff available all the time. A good walk takes you straight into Kalimpong itself.
We stayed in a triple room . It was had clean room and toilets. The homestay has responsive reception. The food is homely though slightly costly. View from the terrace was lovely. It is in walking distance from cactus nursery. There was place for parking. They also provided GST bill.
Nice and well maintained homestay at a quiet place with great staffs. owners and manager Mr Abhishek. Its 1.5 km away from the town center, with good roof and balcony views. Food quantity is more than you expect :)
Place is about 15 mins from city center.famous cactus garden is few mins walk from this place..we stayed 2 nights in this place. 1st thing you would notice is the neatly laid out garden and plants inside the hotel area and spick and span cleanlyness of the place.Owner stays along with this property.there are rooms in basement with no view of mountain.View from open dining area is fantastic with Kanchenjunga range visible on clear days. they have an inhouse cook with limited but very good choices in Indian and chinese and local Nepalese food.We had dinner on both days and really loved less spicy /oily homely made butter chicken ,fried beans.Chinese items like Veg stirred chowmein also really well made.Breakfast choice is limited but there veg/chicken/egg sandwich is a must have here..They provide CP with choice of sandwich/puri,tea in breakfast Toilet was of moderate size but with modern amenities and again cleanliness attracts you immediately.Room size was of quite decent size for Deluxe room. Overall place is a nice well planned place with even a good collection of books in reading area, wifi is bit erratic ,may be due to the overall remoteness of the place..Open dining area is a must to have your meals in lush green surroundings. Price of food is on th higher side but as mentioned quality was very good. faced some issue with cable connection in our room but it was taken care after some requests by Mr.Abhishek ,the manager of the homestay.…
