Good Hotel, Good Location, Very Good view, , But ALL TYPES of FOOD are not Availble, Specially MOMO Not Available. Staff BEHEVIOR ARE Good butT PROPRIETOR bhevior too much ROUGH. Otherwise hotel very good.
It is a bit off the road, but gets quite some noise from the surrounding area. The old (heritage) part of the hotel is really beautiful, but the newer part with most rooms has a dubious charm of a student dormitory. The terrace in my room was fantastic and offered awesome views over the surrounding mountains. What I loved most - the always helpful staff as well as the excellent food in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner).
It's about 10mins drive from the market. The place has an old world charm. Owing to its rich heritage the place is adorned with old artifacts and also has a bar. The room that we booked had a nice view of the morning sun. The best part about the place was the snow capped view of Mount Kanchenjunga. A nice bourne fire in the evening gave the place a cozy n warm look. Food was good and flavourful. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. They had also arranged a taxi for us to visit the local market. Morgan House, Golf course is a few minutes of uphill drive from there. We had issues with card payment as the amount was debited from our side but not credited to their account. The person handling transaction was very polite and simply asked us to forward the message through whatsapp and the rest was later taken care of. The washroom however needed cleaning and maintenance. Rest was good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.…
Heritage property at nice location in Kalimpong. From some heritage rooms you get good view of the Kanchenjunga. But there's hardly any maintenance of the heritage rooms and also the normal ones. If they are charging close to 6k for a heritage room , then some basic facilities and proper maintenance should be there. Buffet breakfast is also pathetic, no complimentary juice available and hardly you will get puri sabji or bread & butter with an omelet and coffee....on asking for juice and fruits , was told by the restaurant staff that owner(who stays just adjacent to the hotel) is yet to get it from the market. But still would complement their staff Rupesh and Swapan who tried to make it comfortable for us to the best of their capacity. Not recommended for a second visit to the property.…
Kalimpong Park hotel is situated in a nice high place which gives a very nice view of Kanchenjunga from the hotel entrance and the common area on the 3rd floor. The rooms are big and spacious and the bed is well made with separate quilts for twin occupants. You are also provided with additional pillows and quilts on requests. The rooms are sufficiently equipped with room heaters. The hotel has a nice colonial style with wooden small steps leading upto each of the floors. The food was good and of ample quantity. The staff is courteous and always happy to help. Definitely recommended for a stay with friends/family. Only two points which the place needs to look into: 1. The quality of tea served at the hotel, is not of high quality. 2. The service charge levied for room service is 50% on top of the restaurant charges.…
