I have visited every State Park Lodge in Ohio and The Lodge At Geneva-On-The -Lake is by far the best of all. Rooms are very well appointed. Beds are comfortable. Wide flat screen TVs with a full compliment of cable/satellite channels. Rooms are exceptionally well...More
Stayed in the lodge. Great rooms, Great service. Breakfast was AWESOME! Beautiful area with great views of Lake Erie. Great time with friends, we will definitely be going back. We do 1 time per year for a weekend. We are definitely going to try the...More
This hotel is beautifully designed and is located on Lake Erie. The hotel lobby, rooms and surrounding areas are very well maintained and the check-in process was smooth, polite and friendly. While we were there (during Christmas holidays) the hotel experienced a snow storm so...More
Just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations was a weekend getaway at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake aka Lake Erie. Who cares what the weather is outside. Inside the resort the holiday decorations in the lobby and throughout the resort...More

There is a paved trail along the lake into Geneva State Park, past the Marina with boats and the beach. About 2.25 miles long with benches near The Lodge for catching the sunset over the lake. Easy and flat if you are thinking of riding bikes or hiking with little ones.
There are also unpaved gravel/wild trails throughout the park- 3 levels of difficulty from easy to hard, I believe. The front desk has a map to keep you on track! This summer The Lodge is adding a zipline Canopy Tour and Challenge Course for adults and one for kids, so that may be something exciting to do as well.
Also, (I love your name!) there is an Irish pub open on weekends in summer that is family friends and serves Irish food, even kid friendly dishes. Hope this helps!
