The rooms were decorated nicely, and clean. However the the lack of space in the bathrooms was a put off. There was hardly any space to move.. The neighbourhood is now noisy and the streets are dirty with garbage strewn by the sides of the roads. Unpleasant experience if you want to walk down to any eating joint nearby. Wouldn't...

Hello ! We are sorry if you found the bathroom to be small. Actually all the bathrooms are fitted with anti-skid tiles, bathtubs, geysers, etc. catering to all your needs. Hence, we are surprised how you found them to be small. Our neighbourhood is in a residential area where no city buses, trucks, etc. ply and is at all times...

I chose this place based on rave reviews, but it was not up to my expectations 1 location in a crowded area 2 small bathrooms for the cheaper suites 3 no privacy between rooms 4 catering was so so All of the above can be justified by say that its a homestay , old heritage house, modified to accomodate guests...

Hello ! We are sorry if you were unhappy with our service. Let me remind you that our location is in a friendly residential neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded market areas of the city, but during traffic jams it does get crowded at times. For the cheaper suites the bathrooms are smaller, but they are...

Very central located and the owner Raj is a mind of knowledge and information so great to sit down and have a chat with. Lovely decor and...

We chose this BB based on our inclination towards homestays and Tripadvisor reviews. This is a bright green independent house located right in the centre of bustling Uzaan bazaar. A beautiful little garden welcomes you as you enter. The Rooms are on the first floor and as you take the staircase and walk into the common area/drawing room you realize...

We halted for a short stay at BB after our trip to Shillong. BB provided clean accomodation and home cooked food. The staff need special mention for their courteous behaviour - all the staff and particularly Team Leader Kalita addressed all our requests both promptly and satisfactorily. We will recommend BB and stay there again. - Partha S Bhattacharjee

We were a group of 7 Irish teachers ranging in age from 30's to 60's. We found this to be a very quiet, cool spot in the middle of busy, humid Guahaiti. It was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated- our room had four poster beds and a large bathroom. The air conditioning was great and also nice to have...

Hello ! I'm really delighted and privileged to have hosted you ladies from Ireland. More so, because I am a product of an Irish Christian Brothers' boarding school, viz. St. Edmund's School, in Shillong, Meghalaya and am therefore well aware of the Irish lifestyle and petty nuances. Thank you for your kind words. Raj Baruah

Although I had read favourable reviews of Baruah Bhavan, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and facilities offered.
