So, I came up to Columbus for some YouTube related work, and I chose this hotel for location, price, and the fact that having a one bedroom suite is always nice, and while not perfect, it was pretty good. The room was small, but they made very good use of the space. Coming through the door was a closet, a kitchen, a shared table and desk, and a sofa, window, air conditioner, TV, and dresser. Everything was spotless, though the door and window were both in rough shape, and the air conditioner sounded like a jet taking off when it kicked on. The bathroom was also directly off of this room, and was clean, with plenty of storage, and a large sink. The shower was in rather mediocre shape though, and it looked like the curtain rod would fall down if you just looked at it the wrong way. Also, the tiling behind the toilet had separated from the wall. The bedroom was through a door, and had another closet, window, TV, and dresser, as well as two night stands and several outlets. This part of the room was in good shape, and the bed was awesome. Also, just so you know, the air conditioner is only in the living room, so don’t shut the door to the bedroom at night! (I found that out the hard way.) The hallways were spotless and the common areas, which consisted of a rental cabinet, lobby, fitness center, business center, shop, and pool all looked clean. There was just one elevator, which seemed adequate. Also, while you can buy some prepackaged items at the aforementioned store, there is no hot breakfast available period, not to buy or for free, and it was like this before COVID too. The outside of the hotel looked way newer than the rest and parking was fine. I also encountered 5 employees, all of which were awesome! Over all, this is a very good hotel, but there are newer ones in the area, that might be nicer, especially the Drury which I stayed at on my last trip. I’d still recommend it though!😸…
Wanted to take a minute to give a great thanks to two of the Front Desk Agents that I had the pleasure of dealing with this week. Sandy performed check in services making me feel like an old friend and continued to do so as we carried on passing conversation each time we had the pleasure. Would like to thank her for her personality and a truly blessed spirit. Also, Joseph served us on three different occasions. If ever meeting a young man in the civilian world that is squared away and a true professional, it has been with him. This young man, who is working two jobs (keeping one out of loyalty) is truly a much need reminder in today's service industry that there is hope and a brighter future.
Check in went smoothly. The hallways were clean smelled good. The elevator had a few pieces of paper no big deal. Room was VERY CLEAN. I looked everywhere especially in the shower. Bed was COMFY & you had 4 pillow choices. Internet was a little slow. I would STAY HERE AGAIN.
The hallways were filthy The elevator was broken Had to clean the room prior to getting comfortable Many guest did not have on mask which was mandatory by the state!! There were pets at the hotel Lots of folks/guest hanging out in the back of hotel
We travel to Columbus quite a bit and over the years have stayed in this hotel. Have no idea what happened to this place but it has to be the biggest dump hotel in the North area of Columbus. There is trash in the hallways, we had to skip around to avoid disgusting dropped food near the elevator, there was only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper in the room, the phones didn't work, no proper utensils to use in the kitchen, no dishwasher soap, paper towel roll almost empty, the floors were sticky, towel rack missing and the room was disgustinly filthy and the front desk area where you buy things was totally empty. The grounds around the hotel are a trash dump. Cigarette butts are everywhere, empty trash containers thrown all over the grounds, the trash cans outside are overflowing and the staff uses the Covid excuse for the horrendous service. Something else is going on with this hotel. We are convinced there is nefarious activity happening inside this hotel. The clientelle is definitely not business travelers, no way. I don't think it's safe to stay there. We will NEVER stay in this hotel again, EVER. It's sad because it used to be a real decent and dependable hotel. This has nothing to do with Covid yet they used that excuse for everything. Stay safe, keep your family safe, and stay away from this place.…
