The pool was closed and the grab and go breakfast was the bare minimum. We only stayed one night so it was fine but if we had been planning to stay in Ohio for multiple days we would have probably looked for a different hotel.
Have a hard time ranking this hotel because we all got a good night sleep, which is my most important factor when rating hotels. The hotel was quiet and the continuous fan blocked out any extra airport noise. However, the rooms and furniture are worn and our bathroom had naked bulbs over the sink area. Have never seen that before at a Homewood Suites. In addition, I did not think the rooms were cleaned very well. There were several hairs on the floor outside our sink area. Hotel has easy access to airport and I 670 exit. Just go straight off the Cassady Rd. exit and the hotel is right there.
I stayed in this hotel for 14 days from 27th Nov to 11th Dec 2020. Room #301. Hotel ruthlessly did the preauthorization on my limited funds and ensured that myself and my family left with negative balance. This led my family couldnot have the meal for the whole day till I get some help from the friends. The staff is either new or unaware of the basic things to handle situations like this. Front desk is not upto the Hilton standards ( except Shawn, who is reasonable and professional ) I for sure recommend my friends, corporate and everyone to stay away from this hotel. Even after 8 days of checkout from this hotel, my funds are on hold and yet to be released from the "Pre- Authorization" Talking to the Hilton Corporate is good for nothing except heard few "Sorry". But the issue is yet to be resolved. This is not the hotel to stay and I will never never opt this hotel…
The hotel is poorly maintained. The bathroom sink didn't drain. The phone in the living was visibly broken. The iron had top broken, so water was spilling on clothes while ironing. The kitchen didn't have a scrub and soap. They decided not to do housekeeping after 11am and didn't inform us that their workers were leaving for the day.
Our room wasn't clean, there were ants all over the kitchen (in the cabinets, on the counters, in the silverware drawer), the bathroom sinks didn't drain, they were clearing out breakfast 30 minutes before it was scheduled to end and when you told the staff of the experience, they offer so compensation.
