The hotel is disgusting. Multiple rooms I was in had dirty stains carpets, dirty bathrooms, no towels. The font desk staff was somewhat helpful but overall I would never go back here again. Also, if they tell you your room is available for early check-in triple check. I was told I could check-int t 11am, when arriving at 2pm I was then informed my room would not be ready till after 4pm (which was super inconvenient for us because the wedding we were attending started at 3:30pm)!
No working hot water, no working heat and customer service in the evenings was horrible. The wall paper was coming off the walls, they had creepy men just standing in the hallways & on the elevator watching me and my kids.
Stayed in this hotel for one night while driving through Columbus. The front desk seemed eager to be helpful but this is the end of the positive. Checked in through the app and this was wrong. The room that was picked for me did not meet my requirements and had to request additional bedding. However, the worst part was the bathroom, really the toilet seat. It was worn out, looked dirty. The shower did not work either but nobody wanted to spend any time in that bathroom - very worn out, unclean. I understand that the struggles are real - COVID, low demand, cash preservation. I do not expect luxuries but please spend $20 on a new toilet seat.
I expected better from a Hilton property especially with the doubletree hotel... the entire place was run down and ill kept. From the lower entry way elevator area, inside the elevator itself and the look and feel of the hotel absolutely needs a full refurbishment. As an honors member I was only afforded two (2) waters and twice I had to go back to the front desk to reactivate my digital and regular key. Was a great difference from the Canopy I stay with prior in the same city and felt as a Gold member this was not worth using and losing my points for nor staying there as my experience was less than stellar. The rooms were never cleaned from day to day and not even asked if I needed service or additional towels ... I had to ask. The only accommodation that was made was honoring a late check out due to my later flight schedule out.…
Had mushrooms growing up through the carpet in the hallway. No on site Restaurant. The normal Hilton store downstairs only has water and Monster. Very very HOT. A lot of rude staff members that are very annoyed at their job.
