My husband and I traveled here for our 25th anniversary just to stay in a castle. Although the web site makes this place sound wonderful, it was anything but... Pros: lovely old stained glass windows, original marble in the bathroom, bathroom was very clean. Cons: I don't even know where to start with this category. The place is very rundown...

My wife and I stayed here last year for our anniversary and we know the house is over 100 years old and wasn't going to be in pristine condition but still expected it to be more if that makes any sense the two person hot tub in our room kept blowing a fuse and I had to get out out...

Hi Matthew, I'm sorry our Castle didn't meet your expectations! We try to treat our guests like family and please every guest as best we can. Our building is over 100 years old, so on occasion we do have some old home issues, but we do address as quickly as possible. Patsy, our innkeeper, prepares every meal herself so again...

This place is definitely a gem! Cozy furnishings, delicious meals, and a delightful innkeeper who was not only friendly and attentive but also helpful and planning activities. We stayed here recently for my birthday weekend and it was a great choice.. adjacent to the hocking hills and also very close to downtown Columbus.

My wife took me to the Castle Inn for one night during my birthday weekend. As mentioned in other reviews it sorely needs attention, but a great looking building that is over 115 years old it is actually in good shape. There are many parts of the building that are original which is why the place doesn't look "new" or...

Description: The pictures on webpage are not accurate to current condition. Windows are single pane and the wood is rotting out around them. The front porch is falling in and not accessible. There was a large hole in the roof of the carport on the side. Windows were cracked and one was actually missing! A round one in the front....

Hello, Thank you for staying with us, but I apologize that you weren't pleased with your stay. Our Castle has been undergoing renovations, which is a several year project in order to maintain the historical integrity of our building. We offer our large garden area, full of table and chairs, as seating options as opposed to our front porch. The...

My wife surprised me for my birthday with a night getaway at this interesting and unique property. Built in 1899 by a local farmer-race horse breeder it has some really cool history and flavor. Our innkeeper and attendant Patsy was extremely friendly, sharing stories about the property and providing us with 2 outstanding meals, dinner and breakfast! The chocolate bundt...

Surprised my hubby for his birthdays? The Inn is very old and in need of much repair, but what isn't. Our Innkeeper, Patsy was wonderful and made the best meals for us. We had a candlelight dinner and before we finished our meal, she was upstairs lighting candles in our room. We had a very relaxing time. The only downside...

Went to the Castle Inn back in November to experience their Murder Mystery. Loved it! T he innkeeper provided all 5 couples with scripts & background stories as well as really cool costumes. ( I was a bit of a floozy in a short magenta sequin dress with a long 'flapper' necklace and a feather in my hair. My husband...
