Boaters, water-skiers and anglers converge for fun on 3,000-acre Buckeye Lake, east of the capital city. What better place to camp than Buckeye Lake KOA across the street? After a day on the lake, ride an antique More fire truck and boogie to a DJ's tunes. Or relax in the wooded campground's natural beauty. A 250-seat pavilion, club room and kitchen are perfect for groups. Wagon rides, giant checkers / chess, shuffleboard, pool, games and crafts entertain kids. Enjoy a full breakfast on summer weekends and activities such as Super Soaker Weekend in July, chocolate slip & slide in Aug. and pumpkin painting in Oct. Book a deluxe full-hookup pull thru patio big-rig site. Check out the Jumping Pillow, mini golf, pedal karts and K9 Bark Park. Laundry open 24 hours. Visit the COSI science center and zoo in Columbus. You're close to Amish Country and Longaberger basket headquarters. KOA's store offers hand-dipped ice cream, root beer floats, milk shakes, cookies, gifts and toys. Less

Our family did a month long cross country trip staying mostly at KOA campgrounds, (24 of them). Buckeye was one of, if not THE best. We travel in an RV, and we like state campgrounds and even enjoy dry camping off the roadside in the...More

Check-in was easy, grounds and facilities were very clean and everyone was friendly. The kids’ activities were some of my kid’s favorites (jump pillow, ga-ga ball, awesome playground with both old-school and new equipment). Beautiful, quiet campground with gorgeous old trees.More

We have camped at your campgound for years and now told we are not welcome due to the dog we have, She is a boxer, terri and most likely pitt. and heinze 57, She minds extremly well and is always on a leash when out with us,All she likes to do is lick people. She stays when told and rarely and I meaqn rarely barks. but we were told due to the pitt we could no longer bring her due to your insurance, Inthe years we have been coming there we diefinatetly have seen other dogs running, barking and hard to controll. Many children running amuck needing supervision but arent. So my question, why does your insurance prohibit a nice quiet well behaved dog with no history of biting people when othe dogs such as a terrier ,who can be very hard to control ,and kids with parents who want staff members to do the parenting be accepted. As many years that we have been going up there do you really thinbk we would bring a dog that we aren't able to control? By the way this dog loves kids and people. Same to lose our membersip do to someones lack of education on these types of dogs. Loren & Teresa Shaeffer 1700 Snoke Lancaster Ohio

So sorry about the campground rules. Unfortunately as soon as you mention Pitt, or bull terrier insurance companies are the worst for acceptance. Education needs to be kept in the forefront. Any dog, no matter the size... More
