The Wishmaker House Bed and Breakfast is a fully renovated 10,000 square foot 1890's home. We have 8 guestrooms, including one ADA compliant room and a 1,200 square foot suite. Just a few minutes away from Mid Ohio Race Course, Ohio State Reformatory, Mohican State Park, Snow Trails and Clear Fork Ski Resorts, and other Mid Ohio activities. We are also 1 hour from Ohio Amish Country.

This inn is a very nice old house in downtown Bellville. Bellville is a pretty small town, but the area is very nice, near Mohican State Park. Our room was clean and nice, and we slept well. The bathroom is large and modern. We ate dinner here as well. Very good food, good service and reasonable prices. They took Covid seriously. We ate dinner outside in an "igloo" that had some heat. It was a fun way to celebrate a night away. It was a very nice stay and we would definitely stay there again.

Can you imagine 2 sisters driving from out of state to meet at Wishmaker House... I get checked-in & shown around, turn down the bed to relax.....THEN receive a call from management to come speak to me, to tell me they would not honor the gift certificate for the room stay and a bottle of wine! WHAT??? The certificate clearly states "NEVER EXPIRES". I was told I could pay $110 to be able stay & I would receive no wine....it was up to me. I asked to speak to the owner Jennifer. Turns out they bought the place two years ago and aren't going to honor the "paid for" certificate! She came to the room I was in & did not waiver, or express any empathy, and basically told me they were hurting because of Covid and if I didn't want to pay the $110, I could leave. This isn't a joke people! So I was left with two undesirable options: let the cert go to waste or pay $110 to stay. These new owners made a very poor business decision! I unfortunately, do not recommend their establishment.…

Simply out standing! True to the reviews. My wife and I were looking for a little mid week get away , so glad we stayed here. Staff was warm and friendly while enjoying the winery and a room with a balcony. As travel professionals I also want to say the cancellation policy was much friendlier than other Bed and Breakfast places especially in a Covid world. Keep up the great work! See ya again.

My husband and I visited the Wishmaker House for my birthday weekend and boy was it relaxing! We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm that never left. If you're looking for great food (ooh the homemade cheesecake!!!), fantastic wine, breathtaking views, a comfortable stay, and a phenomenal staff - look no further!

We were in desperate need of “just us” time and kept putting it off not able to decide where?? Downtown CLE? Along the lake? Or some random little town B&B an hour and 1/2 away from home - SO GLAD we chose the small town B&B!! We splurged and chose the top floor which proved to be perfect for us - quite, spacious, clean, perfect temperature, and so comfortable. I don’t want to leave. We got to talk with Jennifer, one of the owners, who you can tell how much pride she and her husband put into what they do here. We missed the homemade cheesecake from the restaurant the night before so we’ll book here again sooner than later to try that. Highly recommend!
