My wife and I along with our 16month old were on our way to Robe from Cape Jarvis after being on Kangaroo Island! We booked a night at the Lake Albert Motel in Meningie as a stop over to break up the trip due to getting a 1430hrs ferry from KI. Friendly, helpful staff and clean welcoming accommodation! Your typical...

Arrived early, the reception was closed but there was a phone number to contact if needed. Decided to explore the town instead, since last visit, there is a lovely wooden carving of a pelican and an ostrich statue in the park opposite. Bakery is still good too. Reception was open when we returned. The lady was very helpful and provided...

We stayed recently for a 70th birthday Party and were most impressed with the Motel The rooms are quite spacious the bed was very comfortable which was fitted with very nice crisp white linen. We met up with the owner Peter who was very friendly. They also run the cafe next door.

We didn't have a place for the night so it was a last minute reservation. The owner was sweet and informative. A very very comfortable bed and pillows..... wish we could have slept in late and enjoyed the coffee and biscuits longer that were in the room! Very pleased!

Meningie is a small town on the Princes Highway somewhere on the way to Adelaide and its main attraction is Lake Albert with its many pelicans. Lake Albert Motel is a small hotel but clean and comfortable with parking space right in front of our room. Beyond the road in front of the hotel is the lake and it has...

About what you would expect of a country town motel, rooms are dated but clean and the owners very helpful when the power went out for 6 hours during the SA storms by providing candles and torches. The motel filled up that night due to travel restrictions but we didn't have any problems with noise or behaviour at all.

We only stayed overnight - Meningie was a convenient place just a couple of hours drive from Adelaide airport. We were greeted by delightfully friendly owners, who gave us all the advice we needed to enjoy our brief stay (the most important being where to eat on a Monday night when the town was largely closed). Our room was spotlessly...
