Very relaxing and unwinding. The wind sometimes is chilly so be prepared to light the fire. Bring warm weather even in summer it gets cold. Nice spot in the lake.about 5-10 mins to Stanthorpe. Will defiantly stay here again. dogs aloud and very clean amenities.

We stopped for one night on the way through, partly to check this place out for future visits. The powered sites are huge, and the design is such that you have good privacy between vans. The amenities are lovely. We didn't meet the managers because we arrived late and left early but they were friendly on the phone. The only... More

Booking in was welcoming, were advised we would not have service with Optus which was not a problem great to get away from it all. Stayed for two nights 9th + 10th September with friends. The cabins are the best I have ever stayed in they overlooking Storm King Dam, kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a... More

We found the drive-through powered sites excellent and spacious. Loved the dedicated fire-pits giving us extra warmth on very chilly Stanthorpe nights! Facilities were clean, tidy and conveniently located. A great place to relax with opportunities for short walks. Lovely quiet views of Storm King Dam. Delightful coloured parrots visited regularly. Receptionist was helpful with information. Would definitely come back.

What a delight it was to stay at Sommerville Valley Tourist Park. Pippa was so welcoming and we can't recommend this place enough. Beautiful grounds, large caravan sites, clean facilities and fire pits that made the cool nights so special. Dog friendly too. Will be back.

Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for two nights in this well-planned campground. The powered sites were staggered in such a way that no-one was overlooking anyone else and there was plenty of room. As campfires are an absolute necessity for winter camping, well in our opinion anyway, the fire pits at each site and firewood delivered to your... More

We camped for four nights in Sommerville Valley Tourist Park and we can highly recommend this place. Situated on a short, picturesque drive between Stanthorpe and Girraween National Park on the shore of Storm King Dam, this is a lovely place to camp. The whole facility is well run with 52 hectares of spacious, powered and unpowered camping sites, as... More

Sommerville Valley is the best camping spot in Stanthorpe. Located 10klm from Stanthorpe on the edge of Storm King Dam each campsite is very spacious and has it's own fire pit and the owners will deliver a load of wood right to your camp site. The amenities are clean and there is an excellent camp kitchen as well. There are... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Large spacious. it has a wonderful atmosphere with a large dam close by. You will need to be prepared for supplies as it is quite a drive into Stanthorpe. Close to some of the wineries in the district. Ammenities are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Good sized camp kitchen and spacious areas... More
