Whow. This is in a rain forest and what a settin to experience. Very good and romantic ambiance. Flowing river at mealtime. Staff is very accomadating to all needs and appreciate your business. Remember things are slowed down a bit. Great views of the tropics and a real stress reliever. It rained last night an what a sleep with rain...

Room was amazing and clean. Staff was friendly and really helpful, giving guides for the nearby trails and anti-itch cream after I mistakenly wore shorts instead of pants on a hike and was attacked by mosquitos.

This has to be one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. The rainforest location is stunning, the treehouses are individual rooms on stilts so you are amongst the canopy of the trees, great for sitting in a hammock and watching the wildlife. The lodge is right next to the Mosman river so you have a beautiful view from...

The room was perfect for us! It was quint, romantic, and they were thoughtful enough to leave little treats at the end of each night. We are on a month long trip so the free laundry was perfect. The dinner is a bit pricey but the service and attention was perfect. We loved this place!

Because it pitches itself as "premier luxury", it is worth reviewing, perhaps harshly, in that light. It is indeed a lovely place to holiday, particularly for couples. Relaxing, secluded, everything you could want in a rainforest environment. So have no doubt that there are a wealth of positives for holidaying here, even with a couple of minor flaws. 1. The...

Silky Oaks Lodge is wonderful, so many activities are offered for free. You can start your day with a yoga lesson or enjoy the deliciuos breakfast. In the afternoon one can take part in a guided walk with a guy just passionate about nature. All in all it was a perfect stay.

Silky Oaks is one of a kind. Cannot recommend it more. It's location deep in the rainforest makes for beautiful scenery everywhere you turn. You feel like you've been transported to a very special place very far from home. Staff is amazingly attentive - so much so that they made us a to-go breakfast and put it in our mini-fridge...

My husband and I stayed here for the first two days of our Honeymoon in September 2014. Our flights were changed to an early arrival but they adapted the transfer and even offered us lunch as we waited. The room itself was just heavenly and the service absolutely faultless. Every staff member we came across was attentive, friendly and obviously...

Easy drive from port douglas, gorgeous accommodation (all rooms are high standard), as you'd expect in a rainforest. The surrounds are lush, very private , shady and well maintained. What I didn't anticipate was the generosity of the hosts and staff. They anticipate your needs and provide for it rather than charge. Eg umbrellas, plenty of towels , laundry facilities....

My partner and I went there for my birthday because we thought it was a going to be a luxury holiday. The reasons for the low rating are as follows: - don't depend in the complimentary pickup service. We waited for 2 hours in Port Douglas then told that we shouldn't expect much since its complimentary. -restaurant is very expensive...

Dear HappyforLife It is disappointing for us to receive your review. With regards to the complimentary transfer service there is only one scheduled per day that is included with the room rate. Outside these times it is possible to arrange transfers at a charge. We cannot understand why you would have been waiting in Port Douglas for two hours unless...
