My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Silky Oaks Lodge. It was romantic and tranquil.. Our room was large and clean, with a hammock on the balcony. The air conditioned room was a welcome respite from the humid air. We went swimming and Kayaking in the river(no crocs!), and went on a nature walk with a naturalist(all...

The rooms are big and roomy, with a hammock on the balcony. Everything is beautiful about this place. It's luxury in the middle of the rain forest. I took a yoga class one morning in a beautiful area next to a roaring river while we heard the birds chirping and a soft rain was falling. The owner Pat used to...

We enjoyed our stay at the Silky Oaks. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our 3 week long break. The hotel and scenary is amazing. So peaceful and quiet. The staff were very polite and there was always something to do. The area was nice and clean and well kept despite it being in the rainforest. The...

We could have spent days and days at Silky Oaks Lodge...it was probably the most expensive place we stayed but in the end it was fantastic value as all the activities were free. We took advantage of everything - a guided walk with a knowledgeable naturalist, washing in the laundry, kayaking on the river, yoga classes and lounging around in...

Prepare to be pampered in a captivating natural environment in the rain forest. The lodge, the bungalows, the food, and the service were all first rate. Truly every interaction with a staff member was strikingly positive. My wife and I were on holiday in Australia celebrating our anniversary and experiencing Silky Oaks for a couple days provided an appropriately romantic...

We arrived in the pouring rain but were immediately bowled over by the two rooms allocated to us - very comfortable and with stunning outlooks. The staff were charming and attentive and, after a welcome drink, we enjoyed dinner although service was a little stretched on that evening. This is a beautiful development and well worth the visit should you...

Your own treehouse in the rainforest complete with great music, hammock, view, amenities. Rainforest so it rained but who cares. Didn't hamper a fabulous experience. Excellent WiFi. Great food. Super service. Trails (some were under water)were nice. Loved our massages. Highly recommend staying here with Paul and his wonderful staff. Oh yes - complementary laundry facilities.

Remember things are slowed down a bit. Great views of the tropics and a real stress reliever. It rained last night an what a sleep with rain...

Room was amazing and clean. Staff was friendly and really helpful, giving guides for the nearby trails and anti-itch cream after I mistakenly wore shorts instead of pants on a hike and was attacked by mosquitos.

This has to be one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. The rainforest location is stunning, the treehouses are individual rooms on stilts so you are amongst the canopy of the trees, great for sitting in a hammock and watching the wildlife. The lodge is right next to the Mosman river so you have a beautiful view from...
