Stayed for a night for work in August. The room was really clean. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were really easy going and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if in the area working.

Top little spot, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced. The accommodation is both backpackers and motel rooms. Position is great, right on the corner of Cooktown's main street and the road leading to Cairns. 3 minutes by car takes you to the main park and waterfront.

We could not fault the place, the owner was very helpful and our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had lovely big towels. If I was coming up here again I would definitely stay here, thanks again for making our trip so enjoyable.

This motel is nicely placed on the edge of town and provides a good value and comfortable room & bathroom with shower. The aircon worked well and we had a self contained room for 2 nights with a large fridge and all necessary equipment. There are also lower budget backpacker rooms with access to kitchen facilities

We stayed for 5 nights quiet cheep in a double room with shared fascilities. For 60$/night. Beautiful garden with lovely spot to sit. The staff is very friendly. The owner who manage it is very helpful and caring. He did his best to clean after some disrespectful people. We felt very cosy snd comfortable. Would stay there again.

This place in Cooktown is only a short walk from town. Greeted by a croc at the entrance (relax, it's not real!) the place offers a wide range of options from dorm rooms to motel rooms and fully self-contained apartments. I opted for a double room for $60 with shared bathroom & kitchen and found it good value for money...

Rooms have everything you need for self catering. Good cookware, hairdryer, iron, small oven, hot plates, microwave. Small and basic and very clean and pest free. Ceiling fans and a/c all worked well. Laundry onsite, swimming pool. Very helpful management. Walking distance to shops and food outlets. I'll stay here again.

My collegue and I stayed for 2 pleasant weeks at Pam's place. The kitchen and bathroom were exceptionally clean, our bin was emptied daily, and our towels and bedding changed regularly. We found Scott and the guys down-to-earth, pleasant and eager to help. Pam's Place is not a 5 star establishment nor does Scott pretend it to be. It is...

The service has been so excellent that I even took my family on a holiday to stay there last Christmas....

This place is much more a worker's hostel than a travellers hostel. It was neat and clean and tidy with lovely places to sit and read and a great kitchen BUT... the manager is a bully. He yells at his staff, he is dismissive of his customers and he humiliated one of the young girls by admonishing her for some...

Very strange, we do not have staff, my partner and myself run and manage the property. . I think it is important for people not to make a derogatory comment on a matter that they have no knowledge of. The person you refer to in your misinformed comment apologised to me the following day for her behaviour.
