We loved the experience of staying at Laurels, albeit for a one-night layover. Very tranquil setting, and the separate cabins, and long verandahs on the main house gave us an opportunity to move outside,,,,,,to stretch out and relax.

We were moved from our usual accommodation as we needed to work on a feature about the Laurels.
The design and layout is fantastic. Ignore the council when they issued the complaint about it being too rustic. I love it just the way it is....More
Clean and comfy. Value for money. The verandah o/side our studio room gave us extra space to read/relax. Interesting yard and objects. There was a lovely menu for dinner but as we'd had a big lunch opted to share a (gluten-free) pizza from roadhouse next...More
A number of comfortable cabins in garden setting, on the western edge of Chinchilla. We had the cabin with a water view (Charlie's Creek) quiet, with all amenities, and a short trip into town to a restaurant.

Wouldnt it be lovely if you could come and stay in your old home! Our BnB is the house 2nd from the corner of Edward St, on the town side and we do have 3 enormous camphor laurels outside the fence. I do believe that we are in the house owned by the Downes, and we have heard that next door there was an old house, identical to ours that burnt down. There is now a lovely fruit shop there, Chinchilla Farmers Market corner of Warrego Hwy and Edward Street. I am sure once you get here it will all be clearer. We have rooms starting from $100 depending on which one you choose, our prices include our lovely fresh continental breakfast for you both. Please feel free to contact us on 4669 1021 to discuss options and dates.
Thankyou for your enquiry
