Definitely not for the faint hearted, you will see the rainforest life in out thoughout and around your cabin. It is fascinating but if you are not a fan of creepy-cruelies then it will be terrifying. It's not something we have ever tried before and is in a class of its own. You have to experience it for yourself my...

We stayed in the Jungle Room for two nights and enjoyed that the jungle is all around the site. Wildlife freely roam through here offering great opportunities to see them. This kind of place is for people who really appreciate the natural environment and wildlife and to support tourism that is sustainable to the environment. It is not the right...

Quirky and beautiful, the rooms and surroundings have great character (although I preferred the indoor bathroom myself!). Come rain or shine Rob and Aruni are fantastic hosts, breakfast was incredible and the location can't be beaten, just sad we didn't meet the resident Cassowary! I'd highly recommend this place as a must do in Cape Trib.

The couple Rob and Aruni were extremely helpful and showed fantastic hospitality. The animals on their property was enough to keep you entertained for days- including a cassowary, frogs, snakes in the pond, turtles and a number of beautiful birds and all sorts of other interesting wildlife. I highly recommend this guest house for anyone looking for something a little...

Amazing location about 1 km from main(!) road through Cape Trib. The accommodation is set back from the track so feels like it is deep in forest. Electricity is via solar panels, water filtered from creek so feels totally off-grid - though they do provide free wifi! The noise of the rain forest at night is something too experience and...

If you want to stay in the rainforest then this is the place. The bungalow has a bathroom open to the jungle. The noises of the rain forest at night are amazing, particularly after it has rained. The hosts are very helpful. The fruit for breakfast is excellent.

We entered a new world when we drove up here. A lovely cottage with an open air bathroom surrounded by a lush forest that hides all kind of statues and animals. Every morning there was an abundance of fresh fruit and coconut yoghurt waiting for us. (And there's even wifi if you want the outer world in.) Highly recommended.

We stayed 1 night in the jungle treehouse and it was seriously the best thing ever! It's surrounded by Daintree rainforest, has no windows and noone or no other house in sight!! Definitely not for everyone, as it has a longdrop toilet and you have to walk through rainforest to get there, but the website is very very clear on...

It is always great to hear people enjoy our efforts but this review page is for our Rainforest Hideaway B&B, not for the jungle house. I am contacting Tripadvisor to see if they can give the jungle house its own page.

I stayed two nights in cabin 1092. It was two very special days. On the site you don't see the back part of the cabin which is the bathroom which is completely open to the rainforest. This is just one of the very unique aspects of tis place. The forest with its noises is all around you including some very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Unique accommodation deep inside the world's oldest rainforest. Solar powered eco-accommodation without some of the luxuries and facilities of the big resorts, but comfortable and located within walking distance of beach, restaurants, shop and National Park boardwalks. On the two hectare property there is a sculpture trail showcasing sculptures created by the owner and several visiting artists, fishponds and a beautiful freshwater creek. This place is owner-built and owner-managed, and your host is always happy to provide you with tips on where to go and what to do and book any activities you'd like to do. Prolific wildlife is another feature of this property, especially the cassowaries that frequently visit the place. You can make your holiday action-packed with the local tours such as snorkeling, jungle surfing, horse riding, sea kayaking etc. or total relaxation by hanging out on the property on the seats on the sculpture trail, or in the hammocks around the house. Keep in touch with the outside world through free Wifi. If you are an artist you might even like to add your own creation to the sculpture trail. ... more   less
