Big thanks to the Angel for the fantastic food, service and hospitality today at our grandsons Christening, which was held in the Plazza Suite function room. There was a warm and friendly welcome, for all guests, especially those who had travelled to attend. The food was well presented and delicious. (Sausage rolls, disappeared before our eyes...) everyone loved them! The...

We stayed here as part of a large family group. Our rooms were lovely - modern & clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. In the restaurant they served all of us efficiently and all the food was plentiful, well presented and very tasty. I'd definitely stay there again

Just had a family get together. Seventeen in total. The friendly reception was assuring and followed up by excellent service from the bar and restaurant The food was judged by all to be out of this world. I can't fault Gregg and all the staff at the Angel. A truly memorable event, thank you.

This was our third visit to The Angel (Restaurant). Our first visit (In March 2016) was very good - the service was excellent and the food was spot on. The Second visit (July 2016) was "okay" - the food was hit/miss (one meal good, the other not as good) and the service was "okay" (we explained we were in a...

I cannot recommend this restaurant and pub highly enough. The meat is excellent, juicy. They do not try to serve 'pink' or rare - the beef is cooked medium, and it is a good cut of beef. The pork is not dry which is an easy mistake for Sunday roasts and carvery restaurants. The mash is amazing. It is so...

I selected this from a search on Booking.com as a stopover in a longer journey and because the building appeared to have character and the restaurant looked interesting. I could not have been more pleased I was made welcome and had an excellent snack for lunch which was interesting as well good to eat!. After a drive in the surrounding...

We enjoyed a night at this hotel whilst we were discovering North Yorkshire on our way to Scotland. Our room was very spacious and clean with a large ensuite bathroom with super shower. Breakfast was good apart from the untoasted muffin underneath my eggs benedict. If I had ordered the cheese omelette instead I would award this hotel 5 stars!
