From Blakeney to the Burnhams, it's the same old story when it comes to food pubs:- Outside - bland corporate grey Inside - devoid of any character Menus read like they've been written by a public relations officer Food - overpriced MOR with too much reliance on microwave The Nelson is no better/worse than others we've tried. Knew what to...

My husband and I were on holiday, and stopped at the Nelson for dinner. We are from the US. My husband really felt like a burger, so ordered "The American" burger. We told the waitress that we were American, so were excited to try the American Burger. She informed the Chef, and told us he was very nervous to serve...

We just had an excellent lunch at this pub. It is just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the main street in Burnham Market but well worth the visit. The meal and service was excellent. We choose from the OAP (or seniors) menu but had no complaints. It was well presented and very good value for the price.

Me and my partner stayed here as part of a minibreak. The room was big and modern and although not perfect (just under) it was exactly as we would have wanted. We ate in the pub and the food was fine, nice portions and a good selection. Breakfast was included and this was very good too with decent sausage and...

Have used the Nelson for a few years whilst staying nearby as they have a favourite beer. Last night was no exception. But there's more. Our first pint of Adnams Ghost Ship was OK but had a slightly unusual flavour that I detected instantly. It was not undrinkable by a long way. The next pint was the expected "off" one...

Found this great place by chance while visiting the area. Dogs are positively welcomed into the pub . We ordered the lasagne which was the best we have ever tasted. The staff were so friendly and the service was great, even our dog was given a doggie treat.

Thanks. Our doggie treats are venison sticks from nearby Holkham estate. We also have gluten free treats!

Lovely place to stay. Very friendly staff & very accommodating with our little dog. Our room was slightly 'faded around the edges' but I'd say great value for money overall. Simple but good breakfast. Well worth a visit.
