Bit late for this review considering we stayed a few months ago in October-November, but was just thinking about the trip whilst trapped in my flat. The service was impeccable, girlfriend is allergic to gluten; Linda catered above and beyond in terms of gluten free options + cakes!! Excellent suggestions and guides on local walks, hikes, and points of interest. Absolutely cannot fault this stay. Highly, highly recommend; felt like home, Linda and Gary are wonderful hosts, and Tideswell is beautiful - (I'm sorry that this review is so late, hope you are both well and staying safe! - Josh)
We ordered afternoon tea for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend trying the food especially during lockdown! Shop local! Even included a knife for scones which many places forget! Absolutely loved the Bakewell tart! All freshly baked and prepared. Thank you so much!
We stayed at Meadow Lodge from 31st Aug till 3rd Sep and have had an memorable stay. Linda and Gary are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to keep their home as COVID safe and yet warm and friendly. Tucked away in the beautiful spot, Meadow offers a very nice place for staycation and holidays. And extra bonus points for the sumptuous breakfasts and super amazing cakes and bakery made by Linda! We would love to come back to Meadows and would love to recommend it to everyone.
We had a wonderful weekend at Meadow Lodge. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you could possibly require and there are lovely extras too, such as homemade cake. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, Linda and Gary, who looked after us really well. We had our own lounge (with a fridge), which has spectacular views over the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. I can't recommend this B and B highly enough. It was excellent. Thank you.
We spent the most fabulous weekend at Meadow Lodge. Our room was super cosy and spotlessly clean, with not even a speck of scale in the kettle! The hosts have amazing attention to detail, and everything is so well organised. Our host Linda was so helpful and accommodating in providing little extra touches to make our stay special as it was my boyfriend's birthday. The breakfast was faultless. There was a good choice of breakfast options, the portion sizes were good, and it was cooked perfectly. The dining room also has a big bay window, looking out over the most breathtaking views. The Lodge is in a great location as there are some beautiful walks right on the doorstep, and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance. A lot of attractions (for example Chatsworth House, Mam Tor and the stone caverns) are only a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again.…
