We stayed at Merman Barn for two nights as a base to have a ride around the Peak District. We found the b&b to be ideally placed, just at the top of the village of Tideswell. The owner Linda was very welcoming and helpful, and her breakfasts were excellent. The village of Tideswell has everything you would need, and is...

We had a very comfortable 4 night stay at the Merman Barn. The accommodation is extremely well cared for and Linda maintains a high standard of cleanliness. Constant hot water, a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches like flowers and tea with fresh milk in the room were appreciated. Breakfast is well cooked and well presented. Nearby Buxton is worth visiting. Our room was well equipped with a view out to the hills. Linda had a varied breakfast menu and everything was beautifully cooked. We also enjoyed having the...

In good weather, the garden is also available as a sitting area. The house is at the top of of one of the hills above Tideswell so a steady upward...
