Worth every penny and a few more as it is exceptional value for money. The rooms are spotless with everything you need. A warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms and garden maintained to a very high standard. Wonderful view to sit and eat your breakfast. Perfect.

We had a lovely relaxing two-night stay here. The en-suite guest rooms are built in pairs separate to the owners' house , and each has its own car parking space in front. Breakfast is in the main house conservatory overlooking the bird-filled garden and fields. It's only a few minutes from the motorway and takes around ten minutes to drive...

Lovely place with well decorated and supplied rooms that are separate from the house, perfect for what I needed at a good price with friendly owners who were very helpful and a lovely view at breakfast of the neighbouring lambs, chickens, ducks and birds, very pretty. Would stay again.

We had the pleasure of spending one night at this lovely guest house before attending a wedding in the local area. The accommodation at the guest house was wonderfully clean and comfortable. The room we had was separate from the main house in a cosy little outbuilding. It was nicely decorated and even had beautiful wooden beams. The bed was...

We loved our stay at Risley Guest House! The room we stayed in was stunning having recently been renovated. Richard was a great host, ensuring heating and lighting was set. He also makes a great breakfast! Very well priced too!

We had a lovely stay for two nights. Really comfortable. Richard was a great host. Very pleasant. We had everything we wanted. Such a peaceful place to stay and charge your batteries . From car to bed in about 6 strides. Car parked right outside room. Bus into Nottingham or Derby right outside. We will definately come back. Thanks Richard.

Dear Louise,

Having just realised that you are the new owner of the Risley Guest House, I fear our booking for our usual rooms as not been passed on as we previously thought. We have been staying at the Risley Guest House for all of the time that Sarah ran the B&B and for two years when the previous lady to Sarah ran it as well. We stay for a weekend in April and November, with Sarah and when we last saw her in April, we asked for our usual two rooms for November. One room for my wife and I for the two nights of the !4th and 15th November, with the room with the single beds in it for two friends of ours for just the Saturday night -15th. We had also asked about them having separate rooms, but hadn't received an answer, we just thought that she was busy and being a one woman band, would eventually get around to answering, you must have found our note through your door on Monday, we were travelling down from Cheshire to Wiltshire and didn't have time to stay any longer, so my wife wrote the quick note.

could I ask you to check your reservations as to whether Sarah had passed on our requirements for rooms and you have us booked in (hence why you are showing full, no rooms available to a general inquiry) and we are hoping that we have rooms booked.

Could I ask you please, if we do have rooms booked for the weekend, as we all travelling into the areas from quite some distances and it would alleviate my worry that we have got rooms booked with you for the Friday (14th )and Saturday (15th) for Vivien and I, then just the Saturday (15th) for John and Tony, if you are short of rooms, they are willing to share, but it would need to be in the twin beds room.

Our telephone number is 01980 620494 or by email.

I await to hear from you in due course.

Yours sincerely

Mr Malcolm (Ted) Beech.
