Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night in this 2 storey, Victorian mini-mansion. The room and facilities we very spacious with sweeping frmland views from the upper floor and very spacious. The evening meal was a Gourand's delight. All 3 courses exceptional. A must to visit even if only for dinner !

Our second visit to this hotel. The first was years ago at the start of our honeymoon so this year to celebrate our anniversary I secretly booked us in for dinner and to stay the night. It was just as good as we remembered! The room was lovely and the dinner excellent. The service is very good and very friendly....

Stayed 4 nights with sister brother-in-law. Scenery was fantastic - a great location and very peaceful. Hosts were very friendly and the rooms comfortable and well furnished. Lovely hot water. Wifi worked really well. Food was delicious and relevant items cooked to one's taste.

I love this place! The proof being that we have stayed here 4 times now and have always found it to be excellent. It is located on the way out of Glossop (or in depending on where you're coming from) and although it is relatively close to the A57 it is very peaceful. The owners always greet you with quiet...

Quiet, cosy, relaxing and warm. Just a mile out of Glossop right at the foot of the Snake Pass, this is the ideal base to sample city or country. A warm and friendly welcome which is what we needed as autumn arrived that day. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the bed comfortable and warm and the water hot...

I stayed one night at the Wind in the Willows. The location is beautiful and I found the accommodation and food entirely satisfactory, although costly for what it is. Despite having requested a table for 7pm, and arriving very shortly before that time, I was told on arrival that dinner was at "7:30 for 8," which I guess was done...

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in this lovely hotel. Ian and Alison made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and comfortable with traditional furnishings appropriate to the age of the house. Dinner was perfectly cooked and presented and we have never had a better English breakfast....

The proximity of the hotel was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the reception. The hotel reception and public rooms are tastefully decorated and welcoming, we were greeted on arrival. Our room was spacious and comfortable, we...

Stayed for1 night. Very good first impressions, offered tea by Alison and taken to a very nice, spacious room. Well decorated and furnised to the age of the house. Quality bathroom fittings. All very clean, except for a few cobwebs. Lovely views from window but unfortunately I couldn't see it as the main two window paines were complety shot and...
