The room was cosy with a small but adequate bathroom. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. We booked bed and breakfast but also ate two nights in the hotel. Highly recommend the roast on a Sunday. Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Peak District.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay very much. Cozy and quaint, with nice bar and restaurant, it was perfect for our needs. One thing we would have appreciated is breakfast a little earlier. On both mornings we were there, it was served from 8:30 until 10. Since it is cooked to order, it meant not eating until...

Although good value - 2 courses £11, I wasn't bowled over by this place. The barman was so grumpy. He was busy, but it was so unwelcoming and his attitude really put me off. We were a party of 6 and ready to pay for a full evening meal. He just didn't seem like he wanted the customers! I saw...

We very much enjoyed our two course lunch in the bar area. We were well looked after. The set menu is full of interest. We enjoyed the steak and kidney pudding (an addition to the listed menu) with well-cooked chips and vegetables. The food was hot, nicely presented, very tasty and filling. For dessert I enjoyed the Lemon Cup which...

Our 2 night stay was comfortable but the room was very dated. There was no wardrobe just some hangers on a rack fixed to a wall. The television had a bright blue light on when it was on standby which was very disturbing when the room was in darkness and there was no way of turning the TV off. The...

Called in by chance, as was a lovely day and didnt want to carry on driving onto bakewell or buxton ect. We had 2 adult and 2 childrens sunday lunches and we couldn't fault it. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and were given a table big enough for 10 people to sit comfortably....

Me and my partner stayed at Barrington's for 3 nights. The room was lovely, large with a huge window seat. Also very clean and toiletries left for us, a nice little touch. Barrington's is next to a beautiful park, we had fun sat down there feeding the ducks! Also in a good location, we recommend visiting Bakewell, Monsal Head and...

Every detail is taken care of - from Greeting to Signing Out. A good and varied Breakfast, generous helpings- but Chef could make his Scrambled Egg a little creamier; also bread not toasted should be freshly baked, even if rolls come out of a Freezer. Plenty of Staff, well-chosen, well-trained, well turned-out...& ever helpful. At Dinner, good Soup & Chicken...
