By good fortune we booked our 2 day break at Losehall just before the 2nd phase of Lockdown was announced. Having committed we felt that we should still go as we are aware, from other trips, that YHA facilities run a tight Covid 19 security regime. Losehall is in an ideal position for walkers and those who want to explore this area of the Peak District. Leave the car at the hostel and walk straight into the delights of Derbyshire. It is less than a mile from the scenic village of Castleton with its array of pubs and restaurants. A wonderful building in a beautiful setting. Ideal for those who love nature and want to get out and experience the outdoors.

Brilliant location in the centre of the Peak District. Comfortable room And the hostel has a nice lounge and gardens. We had en-suite and hostel meals due to Covid restrictions, both were excellent quality.

Great location and facilities. One gripe was that the breakfast (didn't have an evening meal) was expensive for what it was. A full breakfast is what you pay for and anything else, cereal , coffee etc is extra. Would have been much better value to go elsewhere.

Really nice building. Staff coping well with all the extra requirements due to Covid. A special mention to Simon who was exceptionally helpful and very friendly during our stay. A bit busy at checkin as you'd expect, but otherwise everything was plain sailing. Our room was in a separate block behind the main house, with a good sized family room of 2 bunkbeds and was very clean. Thanks!

Thank you so much for coming to stay at YHA Castleton and taking the time to leave a review. I will pass your thanks on to Simon and the rest of the team. The Covid-19 restrictions present a major change in how we operate, so receiving feedback such as this is really helpful. As we continue to work hard to create a safe and welcoming environment for those who wish to come and enjoy the Peak District National Park.

My teenage son and I spent 3 nights at Castleton YHA during October half term. The staff there worked tirelessly to ensure our stay was safe and enjoyable. They were also very helpful and enthusiastic with help and advice on what to do in the area. The food was very well priced and fantastic after a day in the hills. We will definitely go back there. Thank you guys.
