We didn't stay at the hotel but popped in on the off chance for a Sunday lunch for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We both had the carvery and were highly satisfied. Initially thought it might be a little pricey but the portions were generous, food really tasty and well cooked, even the gravy was outstanding. There was...

This isn't a hotel, its a home from home, Mick & Carole treat you as one of their own. On check in, i was asked when would i like breakfast, my response was "When is it served?" the return response "whenever you want it". Ive stayed in hotels all over the world and never had that response, even at 500...

Just had tea here. Good selection of home cooked foods. Speedy service. Pleasant staff. When food arrived it was hot. Only downside the venison was slightly overcooked for my liking on asking for rare. But still tasty. Slow cooked belly pork had a fab crackling on top. Very large portions. Price was great too.

Stayed for a night on business, booked through booking.com. Staff were very friendly, showing me to my room. Food was lovely. Don't be put off by the decor, rooms have everything you need, except wifi. Parking is free.

My friend and i popped in for lunch recently on the off chance. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The meal was excellent - nothing fancy but well cooked and good size portions. We both had the half chicken with chips and vegetables which with the drinks came to £20. We both thought that price was fair for what...

I stayed here recently on business and a friendly lady checked me in and gave me my room key. Room is a little dated but that's fine for a nights stay. Bed was just ok if I'm honest but I had traveled a distance so slept without issue. I ate in their restaurant while i stayed and must say it...

I booked here, via laterooms, with only a day's notice - so my expectations weren't high - but it was a really nice place, that's very reasonably priced. On arrival I parked easily in the car park (free) that's within the pub/hotel's grounds. Castle Donington looked pleasant - I have stayed at the airport, at the Hilton near the motorway...
