Went with a group of ten to the Italian Night, which offers a main course and a drink (pint of lager, 175ml glass of wine or a soft drink) for just £10. None of us were expecting anything special at such a low price but we were all blown away by the quality and portion sizes. Most us selected different...

My wife and I visited the Sage restaurant last Sunday for her birthday and eat from the a la carte menu unfortunately even though the food and wine was very good the experience was spoilt by the restaurant being over full ie table's for two used for three table's in doorways etc also very under staffed one waitress trying to...

This hotel was tired and a bit shabby especially considering we were upgraded to a superior room! A trivial thing perhaps but an example being there was only one bedside lamp so I had to stumble in the dark during the night! Carpet around the toilet was stained 🤢However, the service was good - friendly and efficient and the food...

Real disappointment, no heating in rooms, smelled damp and in very poor condition, no staff to clean floors in bar and restaurant, breakfast served in ballroom with old food and other debris still on floor from previous night. Clearly low staffing level as receptions equipped with wrench for the radiators and no cleaning staff. Would never recommend to anyone.

I stayed here for a few times at this hotel with work. The staff are all very friendly and even though the rooms could do with a lick of paint all of them that I stayed in were huge and kept very clean. The food was good (I only ate once there and that was just a burger so difficult...

Came here for a friends 80th Birthday Party. Looked like there was around 50 people altogether. Food was poor but service was ok to be fair. However room was bleak i.e. Only two chandeliers on out of several, no heating as the room was extremely cold, really poor effort on the Xmas decorations. Bar prices were different on each visit...

Very disappointing. I called in advance to order a gluten free afternoon tea. I was served 4 small dry fingers of cheese sandwiches and a few shop bought cakes. The scone looked like a biscuit. Did not receive any jam or cream. All tasted terrible. When I called to complain that day I was told somebody would be in touch....

We attended the Christmas afternoon tea with entertainment for Melbourne Operatic Society and had a memorable and lovely afternoon. Well done to the staff at Donington manor for putting on this event.

We had afternoon tea here. Building is in need of major renovation. When we arrived we were shown into what the receptionist called the lounge. Dirty seating and carpet. However afternoon tea was in a different room and was lovely. Fresh sandwiches, home made cakes and scones with clotted cream. Various selections of tea. Very nice
