A friendly, funny welcome, lovely rooms, perfectly clean, tidy and very well presented, nice views of Kinder Scout and complementary bionoculars. Our room had double and 2 single beds as well as a large bathroom with both shower and bath. Tea & coffee making facilities with'fresh' milk, biscuits and chocolates. Breakfast was hot, tasty and served with a friendly smile...

There's no communal sit in, aside from the breakfast room but that's fine, there's plenty of places to go out and chill after a long day. Rooms are good. We had the fancy, with a lush bathroom (good amenities) and the massive bed. Travelled March 2015.

Surprised to read some negative comments about the Waltzing Weasel. Then realised that they are from before the current proprietors took over about three years ago. The more recent postings are a much fairer reflection. A friendly welcome, efficient service, a large spotless room and a good breakfast combined to make a great value stay. Attention to detail enhanced the...

We booked 4 nights at the Waltzing Weasel and called ahead on the arrival day to let them know we would be late - we didn't realise that latest check in was 9pm but Carol (the owner) was gracious enough to stay to let us in. The room and en-suite were a good size with plenty of room for our...

Booked for three nights as a little get away. Carol our host is warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Quite happy to replace black pudding with an extra hash brown for a delicate southerner on what is a superb breakfast. The room we stayed in was more than adequate. Excellent assortment of drinks and little biscuits. Fresh...

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our room's comfortable bed (I could have got lost in the pillows and duvet) as well as the amenities, location and view. Our friendly host Carole made the stay complete. We particularly liked the selection of board games to borrow. May be back if we're in the area again!

This bed and breakfast is really ok, it was comfortable and provided a traveller with all necessities that may be needed. A single room had a nice bathroom and had all tea and fresh milk for it. Sheets and towels probably need to be exchanged as they were a bit worn out. Breakfast was also nice and the service very...

Good location on the edge of the Peak District and easy drive into Manchester. Very friendly welcome and nice room with views to the peak. Good facilities with ample quality toiletries supplied. Easy parking. Excellent breakfast. No evening meals but several pubs can be walked to in 15 mins or 5 min drive.. Probably at the top end of what...
