Booked as advertised as dog friendly. Dog on plastic seat - told to remove as dogs not allowed on the furniture. Steak and ale pie nice but pastry soggy. Couldn’t be bothered sending it back as couldn’t wait to leave. Do not go there if your dog is part of your family. Shame on you
Had a long walk along the Tissington trail and needed a coffee stop, stumbled on this little gem of a pub. A lovely quirky courtyard. We had a sandwich and chips which was delicious!! Helpful, polite staff and dogs welcome, perfect. Will return 👍
After a walk at Dovedale we stopped at the George and Dragon for food and drink. There is a big choice and all home cooked food, absolutely gorgeous. The portions are very big. Staff are lovely also, very attentive. Loved it and would highly recommend
What an lovely find. Food was second to none.. A group of 15 book here for our lunch. Every single person couldn't fault there meal... The Halloumi burger was spot on.. Steak and ale pie was both tasty and packed with meat.. Delicious.. The beef lasagna was homemade and the garlic bread was full of fresh garlic. Yum yum.. Well both a visit
Dog friendly pub with a good atmosphere and great food. Definitely recommend called in on spec and was made very welcome and was somewhat over faced with the size of the meal, no problems there, you do need to be hungry!! Will come again when in the area
