I came to stay here for a couple of nights with my children so we could do some walking in the Peaks. In the past I have stayed in some good campsites and a lot of bloody awful ones. This one is definitely one of the better ones. The pitches are well marked and spacious (no electric - which didn't...

Good Pizza in the sports bar quick service, Real ale available at a fair price, Long walk to the road from the site, Its possibly to walk to Ashbourne through the fields but very steep hills and not well sign posted. This isn't our usual type of campsite as we don't have children we tend to avoid the bigger sites, however some friends were staying for the week and we joined them for a long weekend. The site is well maintained, has good clean facilities and the staff are welcoming. Although its a large site it still has a small site...

I thought the site was great, well maintained, outdoor pool a treat for kids but... Sadly I was let down by the food in the pub and service. I ordered the curry it was very nice but had four of the smallest chunks of chicken ever. I told them to be told "the chief says that's a portion! Do you...

Set up our tent in a great sized plot ( noticed you can have bigger if need ). Lovely playing field for children to play and run...

Stayed here for 2 nights recently with my teenage daughter. Great site with lots of facilities. It is a luxury site, verity lots of facilities for visitors including cafe, pub, outdoor swimming pool, shop, etc. Also great, secure site to simply let kids wander and play on their own. Our camping pitch was a good size, and very flat. Also, nice an...

Great site, but is badly let down by the teenage ignorant staff in Arnold bar...which you have to use as the pub is never open until 7pm. The shop is very poorly stocked...again with teenagers. The pool could do with being warmer too. The showers need updating and the toilets smell. But the location is great and the play area...

A large caravan and camping site Absolutely beautiful views Facilities ok but rather small given the numbers the site accommodates and this can make it feel a little cramped, this was our experience anyway. Some better food options would be good. Food served is basic, particularly given the prices charged. All in all ok but unlikely to return.

Very nice site with plenty to do. The kids were loving the football pitch. There are a few to many unnecessary rules compared to most sites we visit which os quite restricting. Our boys are 11 and 13 both brilliant swimmers but couldn't go in the pool without an adult even though we were there watching someone had to go...
