We checked in after our trip to Alton Towers. When we arrived the room was clean and more than suitable for a quick pit stop before a long drive home. We had problems with the couple in the room next to us screaming and shouting. Just wanted to give your member of staff James a shout out for handling the situation by himself and letting us move rooms with no problems. Legend. He was great and had no problems with helping us out at all.
First time we have stayed here and what a lovely little place it is.. We stayed as we was visiting family to celebrate the queen's jubilee. Lovely and clean room, friendly staff, very helpful when asking for recommendations for breakfast in the area. We shall be visiting again in the near future.
I will definitely be using this travelodge if we go to Alton Towers again. Our family room was spacious very clean and the beds were big and comfortable. Staff was helpful. The pub across the road is amazing with a play park for kids.
Hotel great area for Alton towers. Would definitely book again. Showers not great low pressure and not hot enough. Hotel was very clean and nice. Excellent value for money. Would have preferred a room on the ground as a smoker would have made it easier to go outside as we were placed 1st floor right along the other side of the hotel. But this was just a preference. Would recommend
Lovely stay, great location for our trip to alton towers. Next to a restaurant and an aldi supermarket for any drinks and snacks or anything you may have forgotten. Great staff and a very clean room, would definitely return. Thankyou
Myself and my daughter stayed at the travelodge while we visited Alton towers. We only stayed 1 night and it was clean and tidy, had tea making facilities and a telly. We looked out on to the field and woke up to the sheep and lambs calling. There’s an Aldi literally across the car park and a pub next door, we used Aldi but not the pub. We did order breakfast but didn’t see that it came in a bix, wasn’t too bad but not WhT we imagined, but I reckon that was our oversight. Car park has ample parking and everyone was really friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Arrived to see a good amount of parking spaces. The hotel reception was clean and tidy. The receptionist wasn’t the most welcoming, but was quick checking us in. Once we got to our rooms, we noticed the plug sockets weren’t working properly. They couldn’t charge any of our devices. Once we complained to the receptionist staff (took 20 mins for them to come out to the desk), we were told it’s due to the hotel being full capacity an there’s nothing they can do. Eventually the sockets stopped working all together, even for the kettle. No mention of maintenance being called - it was only 7:30pm. Another thing to consider when booking, the rooms are not soundproof AT ALL. We could hear people walking around above our room throughout the night, as well as kids next door. Safe to say, it wasn’t worth the money spent and won’t be using the travelodge again. May get a better nights sleep in a hostel for a better price. …
We stayed here while visiting Alton towers. Nice hotel, room clean and spacious. quick and easy check in and we had a nice view of a field from our room. Handy to have Aldi across from it and a pub next door. Only disappointing thing was that they haven't collaborated with the pub to do meal deals or cooked breakfasts (like premier inns do). But I'd still give this hotel 5 stars and recommend it to friends and family .
2 adults and 2 kids stayed here as part of our Alton Towers/Dovedale stepping stones Easter trip and was perfect. Spacious comfortable family room with kettle, tv and bathroom. Will def be using again and would highly recommend. Staff friendly and room spotless. Pub next door for evening meals and breakfast and Aldi on site which we stocked up with snacks for Alton towers. There is also a park 5 mins walk away so could burn off last of kids energy. Good size car park 👍
We stayed here as it was easier for our alton towers trip. Excellent rooms, clean and comfortable. Staff were well mannered, friendly and happy to help if needed. We would highly recommend this hotel if your visiting nearby. Thank you Ashbourne
