I visited The Famers Arms last week on a family trip out. We had not booked a table but stopped by on the off chance they had one free, and they did. I understand it is under new management and we were greeted by a friendly lady who brought over the food menu. I am a vegetarian (the rest of...

Hello Natasha, I'm not sure when you came in, but we have had a new menu now for a couple of weeks. We have a super mushroom strogonoff and a cheese and onion pie, I suspect you came in when we were 'in between' menu's as we have been running stocks down, ready to re-launch with a new improved menu....

I Visited here with my friend after already dined here on numerous occasions over the past few months. We were both sadly disappointed. I knew as soon as the food was put in front of us that it was not the same. The presentation was sloppy and the food quite tasteless. I asked where the young manager was and was...

Only discovered on checking in that the inn was changing hands which meant that the restaurant was closed for that evening. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. Room was comfortable and ensuite facilities were fine. Breakfast was both fresh and good. Might seem unfair to review whilst it is in a state of change but I will still...

Having read the other reviews we are puzzled. We found the place to be in need of updating. Peeling paint and wallpaper. A number of beers were unavailable. Food was ok but we were concerned about the food preparation in the kitchen as there were flies everywhere, reception, sitting area, restaurant, breakfast room and bedroom despite the fact there were...

My husband and I had not been here in over 8 years so we were due for a visit. We shared a starter which was nicely presented and absolutely delicious. I had fish and chips which were nicely cooked and again well presented. The batter was light and not greasy. My only complaint was that I had to much on...

Stayed here for a few nights in August. Room was clean but very outdated. Bathroom was clean but needed a major overhaul. Very tiny TV but worked ok. Breakfast was ok. Boxed cereals & not much choice. Cooked breakfast was good. Would have been nice to be offered more tea/coffee. Jam/marmalade was in those tiny pre-packed portions. Had an evening...

5 of us had an excellent meal here tonight. The whole place is cleaner, classier and so welcoming. The food was really well presented and cooked and we LOVED it...plus...the chips are AMAZING!!! We will be returning on a regular basis. Lovely!

After a long day walking we decided to stop off here for a well deserved meal. We ordered two starters which were lovely, and two mains which were OK if not a little over cooked. It's nothing fancy but you get what you pay for, however we didn't order 3 starters(there was only two of us!) but we got charged...

We stayed here for one night during the summer. The bedroom and bathrooms were well presented and clean. Really comfy bed, slept well. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. We did initially turn up at the wrong farmers arms!
