Stayed in the barn. Really lovely, spacious room. Very restful and pretty. Was lovely sitting out on the swing watching the horses. An easy 10 minute walk into Ulverston. Excellent breakfast to fill you up for the day

I have been coming to Candlewyck for about 10 years now and I never tire of staying in the Barn. I usually try and visit 3-4 times a year for a long weekend and the quality is always exemplary. The Barn is always immaculate, the breakfasts are superb (probably the only healthy full English you will ever eat!) and there...

Candlewyck was an amazing find and I would rate it as the top b & B I stay in across the country. everything about Candlewyck is quality f rom the White company bedding, the Joe Malone Candles to the home produced bacon and...

Just returned fom a wedding annivesay in Ulverston, Lake District. Spent two lovely nights in this extemely comfortable, spotless B and B on the outskirts of Ulverston, literally within a minute's walk of open countyside. Fabulous attention to detail down to the povisdion of sumptious dressing gowns. A lock-up garage for safe storage of our bicycles and a breakfast that...

A friend and I stayed here for the night before exploring ulverston and the surrounding villages the next morning. It's only a short walk into ulverston, and Sam recommended lots of places to go eat dinner. The room was so comfortable, with tea and coffee in the room. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and we were free to...

Used this B&B for work but so good that we've come back for weekends and used it as a location to explore the lakes. Rooms are all stunning and finished to a really high quality. Sam is always so welcoming and breakfast is to die for. Would highly recommend this B&B.

Super and all you can ask for the beds are heavenly comfortable. Breakfasts are great cooked on an Aga, served at a farmhouse style table with great quality crockery, jams and all you need to start your day on a huge cooked breakie! Staff and Sam the owner is very helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean, would I go...

We were recommended to Candlewyck by our friends, who joined us for an overnight to celebrate a special birthday. We were welcomed by Kevin who made us very welcome. We settled into the yellow room, which was fantastically comfortable, with the best mattress I have ever slept on. We had a great night's sleep. The room is beautifully furnished with...

Booked when cancellation at hospice came up for our son. Lucky to have secured the barn. Much needed peace and quiet needed and we were not disappointed. Sam you were amazing. Breakfasts wonderful although by second morning we realised we didn't need to eat everything on the table but such a shame to waste any!!! Room gorgeous, lovely comfy bed...

We stayed here because of the reviews on trip advisor. We arrived a little apprehensive because it sounded to good to be true. However it says what it does on the tin. On our arrival, slightly later than planned , Kevin met us with a warm welcome. We stayed in the main house, the room was beautiful, light and airy,...
