Friendly and sufficient. My rooms carpet smelled a bit. However my room had a great view, the food was good, bed was fine and the Elvis impersonator downstairs was a hoot. Stairs are hard to climb with a big bag. Request 3rd floor room as the pub gets rowdy... However the pub shuts down at like 11pm.

Always a joy. Great welcome from the staff and the best pint in the village. Guest ales most weeks and never disappointed. Well worth a visit, whether you are C2C, golfing or just visiting the area. There are a number of hostelries in the village, but the Albert is by far and away the best.

The Albert doesn't look much from outside... Or rather it looks a bit "worrying".... Drab (like much of St Bees.... Sorry St Bees, but...) and with a very "local" pub on the ground floor. BUT it is in fact a little gem. My bedroom was obviously lovingly put together and prepared. The bed was really comfortable and the view from...

Nice B and B in the center of St. Bee's. An excellent place to spend the night before starting on your first day of your Coast to Coast adventure. The rooms were well thought out and the morning breakfast nicely prepared by our host.

We stayed at this hotel at the start of the Coast to Coast walk. The staff was friendly and the location close to the train station. Lulu's was closed on Monday so we walked up the street to the Queens Hotel for dinner which was excellent. If you are doing the C2C be sure to ask for a pack lunch...

We had a very comfortable say at the Albert Hotel. It is a very old place that is nevertheless up to date and very functional. It is an unpretentious hotel in a seaside town at the foot of the Lakes District.

The hotel is in need of a revamp, it is very tired around the edges and our twin room certainly needed a spruce up. The bathroom was very dated as was the room and furniture. It could be a lovely hotel prior to the start of your C2C, however all we wanted to do was get on our walk. That...

We stayed at the Albert prior to starting the C2C walk. On arrival the welcome was not very good, and the staff seemed almost annoyed to be having to show us to our room. The corridors were all very cluttered. The room itself was good with a clean bathroom (although the clutter was also creeping in here). The breakfast was...

We have visited this pub on Saturday afternoon. Very welcoming and friendly. Service with a smile. They also seemed to be the only pub with some dominoes and they are happy to share them with their guests :)
