Will and Nicola could not have been more helpful when I asked to extend my stay and to make sure I stayed in the same room which I was more than happy with, which also had WIFI. (A must for me) Will was also fantastic when my car broke down on the first day of my holiday. I won't bore...

Was looking forwward to this as first stop on coast-to-coast walk but was disappointed. Room was cold and a little uninviting. Reception was not particulalry warm and focus was on workers staying there.

Stayed at Fairladies Barn last weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Room was basic but clean. Plenty of room and refreshments on hand. And although cold outside room was cosy and warm. The Barn is undergoing some refurbishments but as we only used this as a base it did not distract us in any way. Will, our host was...

Just got back after a weekend staying at this accommodation the room was basic but clean there was plenty of room, tea/ coffee facilities and TV. The Bathroom had a shower cubicle which suited us as I prefer a shower. The Breakfast was plentiful (cereal, fresh juice, toast, and cooked full English breakfast plus tea or coffee. The owner Will...

Disorganised, grubby, and unloved. Mssy reception. Grumbles from host about work load. Has potential but needs major clean up and ridding of dusty ornaments, kitchen, carpet in bathrooms and owners washing heaped on guest lounges. Linen crumpled and did not feel clean. Owners unprepared for role as hosts. Complaints about how busy they were. After a long train journey then...

My wife and I stayed here as we started our hike across the UK (C2C). The staff we met were nice, the room was pretty basic, but OK for a single night stay. The breakfast was ready on time and a good start to the day. No complaints, but this is not a luxury accommodation. Note that it is a...

Room was comfortable enough if a little shabby. Breakfast was ok nothing special although I found the mining pictures displayed in the breakfast room rather depressing.Best thing about St.Bees is the path leading out of the place (C2C). I wouldn't stay here again at the far end of the high street which means an extra trek to get any food...

I stayed here with my 2 small children and partner! On arrival we were greeted by Nicola and Will who showed us to our rooms. We had a 2 bed apartment with a seprate kitchen and shower room with toilet! We had no heating at the time, but the owner called out an emergency gas engineer and the matter was...

We had stayed at the Fairladies Barn in 2002 and had enjoyed our stay very much, so when we needed to stay in St Bees again it was the natural choice, however I wished that we had read the reviews on trip advisor in advance. The rooms that we were given were damp in feel and smell, towels that should...
