While on a tour of the UK, we stayed one night at The morecock inn . The room was very compact. The Inn has a remote and lovely location although it's a chore having to drive to the nearest town, Hawes, if your needs demand it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is average pub grub (like most hotels in this area with uncannily similar menus!) but hearty and OK. Service very good. BUT, the property itself (two knocked together...

Although we live only 10 miles from The Moorcock, a pub which has been my local for almost 40 years, last Saturday we decided to spend the night there. It was hosting an evening of free entertainment from excellent two singers from the North East, and therefore we decided to stay over so that we could both enjoy a drink...
