We stayed at the camping and Caravan Club site and went into the village to book a meal. The Inn at Ravenglass, as it is now called (and part of The Pennington Group) was full of people eating, which boded well. It was fully booked over the next four days, which seemed to say something about the food served on...

We had the best ever lunch at this pub. We chose Langoustines and they were so succulent. If they are an example of the food produced, the chef and other staff should be praised. The real ales are well kept and were much enjoyed. Also the pub is in a superb location.

Hubby had a job to do in Ravenglass so Took two of our grandchildren 15 and 9 for the day out and for lunch. We had the fish pie highly recommended,and delicious. Our eldest grandchild had Langoustine she was never keen on seafood but this converted her. Youngest had chicken nuggets home made and huge portion. The deserts were to...

This use to be the best place in Ravenglass - reasonably priced home cooked food that hit the spot after a days walking. This used to be a fab village pub with a great atmosphere, good ale and food. When John was behind the bar and his wife providing first class food this was a first class establishment. Currently being refitted, but a nice choice of ales on offer. Rather grand ladie's loos, complete with bread ovens! Also had a roaring fire in the bar on the night we called in and a very laid-back feel.

Visited Ravenglass, with my wife, over the weekend and popped into the Holly House during the afternoon. We realized straight away that new people were running it. It's been newly decorated and was very clean. There were three real ales on and I had a pint of Coniston Bluebird bitter which was excellent. Talking to the landlady we found out...

Called in on a Saturday mostly to shelter from the weather. Owner quite happy for us to dry out by the fire even in August. Very welcoming enjoyed a few beers before venturing out into the wild again once it had all calmed down.

Stumbled across this waterfront gem whilst visiting Ravenglass with friends recently. Sheltering from the torrential rain, we were warmly welcomed and dried off by the fire in friendly surroundings.
