Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was rather dated and basic - en suite was cramped. However, the bar was very friendly and the food and drink was good. Breakfast also good, although some choices a bit limited.

Stopped by for tea on a recent holiday to the Lakes.
Menu selection was disappointing and the food was so quick it must have been "ding ding" food!
Beer from the on site micro brewery was disappointing.

Had a meal here on the last night of our holiday. Staff are very friendly but felt menu was a bit limited and a bit overpriced. My daughters meal of chicken goujons, chips and beans arrived with 4 chips on the plate.

I’m pretty sure they would make you sandwiches in the pub if you asked them. There isn’t really anywhere else near unless you drive to Gosforth. The Strands is pretty remote, but that’s the beauty of it.
