We received a warm welcome from the owners of Low Howgill. The accommodation was of a high standard, clean, and with every thing you need for a short break. The accommodation is maybe a little austere looking, in the local red/brown stone, and with not very many windows in the bedrooms - but that just underlines its authenticity, this is an old converted building in a working farm, and the bedrooms are very well furnished with a good en-suite and good heating and lots of hot water at all...

I would thouroughly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay whilst visiting the Yorkshire Dales or Lake District. Only 10 miles from the M6. The farm and surrounding area very beautiful. Stayed here with my daughter as a journey break on a return trip from Scotland. Lovely peaceful location but only 10 miles from M6.
