We stayed here at the beginning of February and I have to say that we were well impressed with the service we got. The new owners had only been there for 3 weeks and could not have been more helpfull and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was nice and had a comfortable double bed also tea and coffee facilities in the room. We would definately stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Booked this place purely on cost and was not disappointed, this is a budget B&B that delivers. We were a family of four on the first leg of our coast to coast (route 72). On arrival the owner was happy to let us place our bicycles in the rear yard which was behind a large locked gate and covered by cctv, the room was more than adequate for a well earned nights sleep for four. The service continued to impress the following morning when we were served a not so budget breakfast (more than enough for the next days riding). One thing I would mention is that the stairs leading up to our room were rather steep, this presented no problem to us, however it is worth bearing in mind if booking.

Room was pleasant enough. However there was dust on the bedside lights. Shower was affected by others using the water supply therefore water temperature could be adversely affected. Breakfast was good.

I have stayed here before and the price paid with breakfast is excellent, the bed was comfy, clean, with lovely fluffy towels. Breakfast in the morning was well presented and hot and it was busy which says a lot!

We stayed here as a base for our weekend adventure. The B&B is comfortable, very clean and has everything you could want. Fresh towels and soap every day, and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. There's a little sitting area outside which was lovely in the evening. The breakfast were fabulous. Full English breakfasts, and didn't stint on anything. Loved the bistro, and was just sorry that we couldn't have dinner there as it closed before we were back. Would definitely stay again. The only downsides were the stairs up to the rooms. Didn't cause us any difficulties, but if your mobility is reduced it could be problematic.
