We visited mid week for an afternoon tea; our first visit to the hotel. A beautiful period building, in a great location, between Ambleside & Windermere, just a little bit off the beaten track, but well worth finding ! Friendly & welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. The afternoon tea consisted of a choice of teas, then a selection of...

The hotel is in a very beautiful if remote location, the rooms are to a high and individual standard however what let the hotel down was the efficient on the verge of snappy service from staff, the extortionate wine prices (captive audience so a small wine £6). Be warned also that car park was small so returned to a badly...

Hello and thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback 1. Our wine glasses are 175ml ( so large not small ) the price of £6 is below average for a country house hotel . 2. We have 3 car parks in total , so we can only assume that you didn't see the sign for the...

Visited on Sun 8th Feb and stayed in the Walnut Room. It's our 2nd visit to Broadoaks and we've loved both stays. Great location, rooms, food and friendly staff. Getting married here in March and can't wait. We all have different tastes and opinions, but for us Broadoaks is perfect and we look forward to coming back over the coming...

Being farmers we booked a 3 day break before the busy harvest started, hoping for a peaceful rest we booked the top 'boudoir suite' and took along my miniature jack russell. The staff were chatty and welcoming to us and the room itself was lovely, the bed was enormous and the big jacuzzi bath was incredibly luxurious. There were 2...

We booked this hotel through a wowcher deal including cream tea, 4 course dinner, overnight stay & breakfast. As they made a point of asking if it was any special occasion we were slightly deflated when we didn't get a "Happy anniversary" on check in as it was that actual day or even a card in the room. Cream tea...

It was great to have afternoon tea on arrival after a long journey, we then drove around 5km to a hotel in Bowness to use the spa facilities and have a swim as well as a walk around Lake WIndermere. The Boudoir suite is such a...

We have just returned from a lovely break and already looking for a date when we can return ... When we arrived we enjoyed the lovely afternoon tea and then took advantage of the pool and spa facilities at the Mcdonald Hotel to burn off some of the calories. The evening meal was delicious and by the time we reached...

We stayed in the Broadoaks Hotel on our way up to Scotland again this year. We love the hotel, our lodge room was lovely and afternoon tea was yummy! The hotel seemed very busy, fully booked on a Sunday in Jan, speaks to its popularity. The food was fery good in the restaurant and the staff were very attentive. Breakfast...
