I attended a wedding reception on New Years Eve. What a stunning venue, the hotel is very quirky with lots of character. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. You couldn't of asked for more. We will definitely be retuning for a trip away. Perfect!! Thanks Broadoak Staff

We booked a black Friday deal which included, room, cream tea, 4 course meal and use of the spa at the Mcdonald hotel. We were given a range of rooms to choose from and we went for the couch house suite. The room was very spacious with a small seating area and the bath was amazing, Japanese jacuzzi bath. We...

Our three children bought us a voucher for an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast last Christmas. We booked it and went along having been upgraded to one of the garden rooms as work was being done on the room we had originally reserved . Very pleasant staff , accommodation and food I must say . We thoroughly enjoyed our...

Bought my parents an overnight stay with all the trimmings just before Christmas and I felt 100% at ease, they absolutely loved their stay. Told me the staff were so nice, so friendly and their food was amazing. I felt so jealous hearing of their breakfast!! They said they'll definitely be returning in the future so thank you again x

This is our second visit, having stayed here 2 years ago. The surroundings cannot be beat, lovely rooms, ours had sunken double whirlpool bath (pine room) Nothing is too much trouble for the staff , all deserve mention as they were fantastic. Word of warning do not put foam bath in the jacuzzi bath, as my wife found out ,...

Lovely staff, such a great, cozy, privat, relaxed stay! Sitting at the fireplaces, having a pint, playing games, just getting away from daily life. Food is amazing. Location lovely. Overall this is an expensive hotel but if you don't struggle with budgets it will be worth it.

Everything about this place was amazing! We went for our 1st wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised to see a card from the staff in our room to celebrate this, along with some chocolates. The room,Rowan, located in the coach house was beautiful. The furnishings were very tasteful and the huge whirlpool bath was a fun touch. The house itself is lovely, with lots...

From the excellent afternoon tea on arrival (way too much food) to the final breakfast on the 3rd day we had a wonderful time. The staff were very efficient and service standards were high in all parts of the hotel. The breakfasts and dinners were very enjoyable and the portions generous. Excellent choice of local beers on tap plus extensive...

We got married in April this year and had our wedding reception at Broadoaks and can not praise Little Jo and the team enough. They helped make the day amazing, and nothing was too much for them. From the first moment we met with Jo she organised everything, and the hotel staff throughout the day made sure everything was as...

great breakfast and very pleasant setting but a head of house that thinks he's working at the Ritz, mediocre main course, espresso machine broken, wine pairing outrageously over priced all make this a missed opportunity by the owners. the hotel is beautifully situated about a mile from Windermere. Ordered the five course meal and when I asked where the fifth...
